Welcome to week 18 where we head off to Hackamore Field Club designed by mattyfromcanada . This golden age style course is going to play tougher with some small severely sloped greens and tricky drives, as well as a few holes that play along a road which is OB. Sound course management and confident shot execution will be required to score well. Best of luck to all!

Interesting course.
I played early and have no idea how my rounds will stack up, or if I'll even make the cut. Very few holes require an accurate iron shot unless you are laying way back, and the targets to keep from rolling off the green are so small especially on the very firm settings I think most will just blast it close to the green and try to get up and down with mixed results like I did. I hit a lot of good shots but missed several short putts (they weren't easy ones), had an ugly triple in round 2 and an ugly quad in round 3 but also made a lot of birdies from what I thought were challenging pins in the conditions.

I'm gone... Today, on the 13th green in round 2 or, to be more precise, a few inches off the green, my Platinum career came to an end. After chipping it to the edge of the grid-box around the pin three times, just for the ball to end up back at my feet every time, I had to accept that the time has come to hopefully relearn how to enjoy playing 2K21 with grids in Elite. I want to thank all involved in making most of my time in Platinum a lot of fun. I was here since we switched to 2K21 and loved trying to stay here. Given that I prefer my pixel golf to be played on courses and with conditions that resemble RL golf, I didn't enjoy the last few months as much. However, I understand and accept that it's a matter of either accepting even sillier low scores or moving further away from simulating RL courses and conditions to keep scores in check. Best wishes and good luck all, Frans

Frans, I may be joining you in Elite next week at this rate. For anyone who might be unaware, the par 5 15th has an OB on the fairway side of the fence. I was OB when my ball went into the rough by about a foot - not sure why it's OB but it was unnecessarily punitive.

Do we not schedule real courses anymore for the top tour anymore? Torrey, Pebble, Scottsdale, Riviera stretch and none of them are being played? Pretty disappointing.

I don't think they can schedule official courses on pro because they will be too easy and hit that dreaded -70's mark. The way they are designed also can't support tougher conditions without becoming unplayable. Someone set up Apex's society at Riviera (I think) on 187s and half the field were stroke limiting holes.

Riviera is an abomination anyway. The others do have decent versions on this game though.
