Dirty Ridge Ranch is my entry for the 2021-22 Rookie Design Contest. Hope you enjoy your round on the retired and rescue horse ranch known as DRR. Let me know what you think.
I used tee manipulation. The tees vary the yardages for the holes but all 3 tees end up totaling at 7,030 yards for this par 72 course.
Not sure why but the game says its 7,034 for the black tees until you look at the distances on the scorecard then they all say 7,030.

Will give this a play this afternoon once console servers refresh and it appears. Looks cool with flat bottom bunkers, respect the decision bc I know from my course how hard it is. You use mainly templates? Would love a list of them if so to catch them in my playthrough.

Gave this a play this morning. Really liked the boldness here. The ridge line was well done and the bunker style is not an easy one but it seems you pulled it off nicely! Good job!

You use mainly templates? Would love a list of them if so to catch them in my playthrough. Hope you got to play it and enjoyed it. I originally had more templates but as I got further in the design I felt I couldn't execute them. The ones that still exist 1-Long, 3-Short, 7-Knoll, 11-Redan, 13-Punchbowl. Although I am not the biggest nerd when it comes to the template stuff so you probably could argue there are other templates on other holes. Those were the ones I felt best understood even after watching Ben's video and was somewhat successful on creating.

Really great environment and the plot looks intriguing i.imgur.com/OISpZcl.jpgThe clubhouse down the back of the property i.imgur.com/vxQ0iOO.jpgThere are a lot of horses that are very interested in golf i.imgur.com/jnC36YO.jpgA really cool environment with the escarpment and the tracks leading everywhere. This gives it a great farming feel. I like the fencing all the way around the property, knowing how long it all takes. Love the approach on 2 with the cliff own into the valley. Went for it on 3 to see where I'd bounce but missed and just dribbled back onto the fairway. I only just kept my second inside the fence and left me with a tough third. The bunkers were really nicely done being cut into the hills. Apologies for the wait on the 8th tee, I had a package delivered and had to go sign for it. I got caught out a few times with the runoffs which worked really well. Played the ground game on the wonderful 14th and nearly got it right. 16 caught me out right and down she goes. Solid course and I'm using the Autumn theme in my current project, so pretty!

I thought I replied when I like your post and I just realized I must have typed it up and never hit the button to post it, sorry about that. Thank you for your play and kind words. I am glad to see that you seemed to enjoy the environment and everything. Hope you will play it again and try the red and white tees too. But ik from how many courses you play and all the feedback you give you might have a hard time doing that and that is fine with me. So, thank you for what you have been doing for the community.

Really enjoyed this - a load of fun shots and thought the red/brown planting worked really nicely. It was clear you put real emphasis on strategy and creating some interesting decisions off the tee. Best of luck!

Nice track, I am not a fan of the template geo stuff but this was an enjoyable round, with some nice views looking over the valley, good job, best of luck.
Not a fan of the red and white flags for personal reasons !!

Played this on stream yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the strategy and environment, great course! Thank you for sharing you're playthrough I enjoyed watching it back. Yeah I probably had just missed you streaming and went to bed before you started for the night. I am very pleased to see that you enjoyed the course as much as you did. You mentioned that it should be on tour and indeed it is scheduled for the Elite Tour 2/28 - 3/05.

Very much enjoyed my round on the ranch! You're helping me get over my general distaste for template courses as well. Really solid effort for a "rookie course" that had the feel of a simpler yet still strategic b101 course. Hole 3 stood out to me in particular. Good luck in the contest and congrats on getting it on tour!

Good luck in the contest and congrats on getting it on tour! That's awesome to hear! I am glad it's helped you get over the template courses somewhat. It's definitely not a style I feel like you'd find in the environment so why not try to do it and be a little different. I guess I will take your compliment on being like b101 but I'm sure we are all aware he's worlds ahead of me in the strategy department haha. Thank you and I am really glad you enjoyed your round!
