Hi all, I'm a PC user with an old XBOX 360 wired pad. I noticed, especially in the last few weeks, that tempo is completely different when playing in the CC society vs the same course with same conditions on a local match.
When playing local matches or PGA career I get a lot of perfect and some gray fast or slow (but always very close to the perfect). When playing the society tournaments tempo is completely different and perfect is almost a dream while reds fast/slow appear from nowhere making my game very inconsistent.
At this point It's clear that making local rounds to learn courses is almost useless as it messes up my tempo and I should play maybe the Beer League or the Kinetic to warm up / training. Am I the only player having this problems ? Does it make sense to spend 60 euro on a new XBox next gen wired controller?
Thank you! Roberto

Hey Roberto. Nice to see you. You may not remember me. I remember you though from our early days here.
You are right about the tempo. I and others have mentioned it from time to time on the forums here. It seems like a large society like CC behaves differently than local play for sure. I'm not sure if it's because of the resources needed to pull in scores and other information for hundreds of players compared to just a simple round of local play. It is for sure something I've noticed and frustrates me to no end though.
Also, playing your rounds on a Sunday is a lottery at best. With all the people playing the society events on the weekend it seems like tempo takes a hit there as well.
Save your money. I'm playing with an Xbox Elite wired and suffer the same problems you mention. And sliding down the tiers in CC dramatically because of it lol

I’ve noticed from the start but could manage it early on and got promoted from L to K Since then I’ve noticed a huge difference in local vs society play. I play a lot of local rounds and have nearly given up trying to play in societies as I can’t control anything.

Tim what a pleasure! Years passes but fortunately hobbies and friends don't ! And you gave me a big clue: I'm realizing that my worst rounds during he last 2/3 weeks have been played on sundays afternoon, but if the number of people playing affects tempo...you are right about lottery Consider that this last week I had a nightmare in the second round with my shots going everywhere (and my words as well after an 85)... To cool down I played the first round of the Kinetic Tour scoring a -8 and I was even more frustrated... I will try to change my schedule before changing the controller...hopefully we will meet you in some CC events as atm I will not reach you in CC-C
