This is great stuff. I haven't designed much in a while due to lots of life changes like having kids and stuff so lately the thought of pouring hundreds of hours into a golf course feels way too daunting right now. But I do like the idea of going into the designer and trying to find new tricks, ideas, techniques... Maybe I'll jump back in and see if I can find anything.

I usually put it through a quick pass in google photos- one filter and dampen the intensity of the filter a lot. Of all their filters, there are basically 2 that are useful. Then I'll run a 2nd set on Befunky. Usually a little color replace in the sky and some camera blur for the background depending on the depth of the image. I find that is more believable than using the depth of field settings in the game.

Here are a couple more in process. Trying to do a neighborhood course with flashed bunkers and high/ sharp lips and lots of angled tongues.    And a little par 3 course in a flat area by a river that will have some template mashup holes (Redan/punchbowl for example).  |

Anyone got any good tips for kiawah style sand dunes? Rough texture colors, best plants, etc.. Basically any other tips besides the repeated sink trees in delta

You got some excellent work and photos going on here! Thanks for sharing  . I think the users that lean towards designing are all crossing their fingers for some decent improvements to the designer in the upcoming release. Be nice to see some new objects, more object quota, a lot more off course textures and control of those textures, and a custom theme that can be set by the designer. Recently sent a bunch of ideas for an Advanced Course Designer to HB, but not sure they would consider such things. They probably get heaps of such emails each week. Cheers |
