Hey Rama,
Just enjoyed a round on your beta. Very nice course. Great looking, bright, clean, landscaping well done, especially the retaining walls. Some good hole concepts and strategy. Solid skills with the designing tools going forward.
A few holes were kind of narrow and a couple were maybe a bit quirky.
I am also in the 'Rookie' contest working on my 3rd course on an Xbox also. Being a novice, take these observations/feedback accordingly:
#1. Landing area for the driver a little tight, but it is a short hole and 3 wood is an option. Fairway just behind bunker needs flattening maybe.
#3. Bunker on the right needs better visibility -raise up and lower land in front of. Was in left center of fairway and was blocked by trees at the corner - some might take issue with that. Lower some of the bushes near the green for better view of surrounding course when putting.
#4. Trees on the left block the view of the fairway.
#6. The individual trees spaced apart on the right don't really add anything - think it's a better look when they are grouped together maybe. Move the trees behind the green a little to get the shadow off of the green.
#8. Block players from playing left in adjacent rough to avoid playing the hole as it was meant to be played unless that is an intentional design option. (Pond right, green left sloping away from pond ?)
Plant along creek or run heavy rough brush along creek to green it up.
#10. Nice views of surrounding holes around lake.
#11. Somehow I birdied this hole. (This green will be under water in the not to distant future with 3 waterfalls emptying into this small lake I'm thinking)
#13. Trees on the left are blocking view of the creek from the tee.
#14. Tough hole but I liked the design. Pin #1 is borderline to the edge of the green.
All feedback is meant to be helpful not critical. Good luck in the contest and look forward to your publish and future work.
Thanks, Bob 'Beta km3' if you want to check out my Rookie beta
