This week we arrive at Springbrook CC by joegolferg , a geometric template extravaganza. I have a particular soft spot for golden age style design and feel like this course is perhaps the best example in the game of these concepts. Hole 17 as shown below is a personal favorite of mine because it utilizes these template based ideas in a unique way managing to create an entirely original design!  A fun game to play on a course like this is to guess which template each hole is conceptually based off of! Did I hear geometry??? Not sure if I said that already somewhere, but I loooove geometry! Absolutely fabulous course! Sadly my game is no way near good enough to compete at the moment, so I'm collecting two demos this week. Just like... Frans!? fransslabak what are you doing there at the bottom? |

Still here… 😎😎😎 Well, up mup kupen nup, this is what happened: Started nicely, then the high wind changed 180 degrees on my approach shot while I was taking my shot, happened again two holes later… speed golf and exploring the clubhouse after that. |

Missed cut for me by a mile, after playing really well on Sunday for TST, my tempo and confidence has completely vanished in the past couple of days, so hence my struggles here this week, expecting 1, maybe 2 Doyley Xmas kisses to come my way. Good Luck All, Play Well  |

Two weeks since upgrading to a PS5 and feel like my tempo is so much more controlled than it was on the PS4. I think I can gradually work my way into being competitive on this tour or at least making cuts consistently if not challenging the top dogs. I played really well in the middle two rounds and then couldn't get anything to drop on the 163 greens in round 4. I should have taken a break and played somewhere else on that green speed before coming back but anyway was pretty happy with my ball striking.
Nice course for sure. Love the short rough everywhere.

After that 2 month stretch where I was on fire, I'm staring down a second straight missed cut. After practicing a bunch yesterday and earlier today, I started things off with a brutal -7. Luckily I scraped together a -14 in R2 so I should avoid demos, but back to the drawing board as I hope to figure things out and get back to making cuts. Nice course though (although as with Frans, I could do without the spinning winds  ). |

The game glitched on me on the 13th green. I hit a shot to 20 feet from the hole, it was rolling quite nicely and stopped quite suddenly with a slight hop. I didn't think too much of it then I noticed it said 7 yards from the hole and defaulted to lob wedge, again I thought bit strange and changed to putter and then the putt went 2 inches. It was then I noticed it saying I was in heavy rough something like 65%-75% lie. Its a very big green and I was nowhere near the rough - I had to chip it to move it obviously. Bit disappointed of course, but I wasn't playing well anyway having not picked up the game in the last week. If someone wants to demote me or whatever the rule is for chipping on the green go ahead but I had to chip to move it.
