Morning, evening depending on where you are,
Just dove in to Chad's tool etc. Little overwhelmed but think I will catch on soon enough. Was able to export a couple of lidar data but noticed on my first one the plant meter was 100% full but I did not ask the tool to add trees etc. And I didnt see any trees on the plot but it was maxed at 100% and nothing was able to be selected to delete. I tried another plot and this time it seemed to be better however it still shows maybe 20% plant meter but again I didnt select the option for trees etc to export over. To add do I need open street maps if all I want to do is just use the land and no course information etc? Thanks in advance,

My understanding is that OSM is only used to bring in the course information. Fairways, bunkers, greens, tee boxes and water. You can bring in trees but I’ve never done that.
So if all you want is the terrain, then lidar data is all you need.
I’ve noticed that the amount of sculpting that LiDAR data provides is a huge amount of micro sculpting. Every time you click with a brush your sculpting, so you can imagine that LiDAR is the same as thousands of brush clicks, all consuming meter.
