Round 3: -7 Really struggled with the wind this time around, with a couple of par 4s playing like par 5s and a couple of par 3s playing like... well, absolute bastards. Quite glad to get out of there with only one bogey and my score was improved by a par 4 eagle on the 10th, holing out with a 5 Hybrid from 170 yards. bino819

bino819 schmiff 1st round -1 Well Bill's little awaited return to the bags of dirt was sort of a laugher. A gamer he is, Bill rushed to the first tee after undergoing outpatient surgery earlier in the day. A throng of at least 10 people was waiting as he approached the first tee. Actually this included family members, Ms Butt and a few other hecklers. On the first tee Bill rammed home a birdie putt to go -1. The second tee saw Mr Inconsistent fly the green into the stands beyond the green. Unable to see the golfer, the approach shot rolled by 10' and the putt was missed for bogey. This was followed by a birdie at 3 and a bogey at four. At some point Ms Butt put a bag over her head and the hecklers figured I wasn't good enough to heckle. The day totaled 6 birdies, 5 bogies and a lot of putts missed 'dead in the hole short' 62% Fir 72 Gir and 30 putts tells the story. To my partner Paul, I hope your back does not give out carrying the old fart. I have not seen our partners scores yet so I hope they play well. Hopefully, it will get better. Good luck to all with rounds to play. I am off for pain pills and a massage from Ms Butt. The only thing I did not do wrong in round 1.

Round 4: -9 Another difficult round - hard to get anything going but not too disappointed with the score in the end. Just need billybudd0623 to birdie the holes I didn't, and bogey the ones I birdied I won't be carrying anyone Bill, I put my back out hitting a couple of red fasts on the par 5s... bino819

Rd 2 -7. Just one better than 1st round but right on cut and probably another miss pfft. This time Rd 1 seems to be the nut kicker (or butt kicker Bill) Left a couple simple putts out there as well, especially on 12th after lovely tee shot. 4 2 4 4 4 3 4 4 3 4 3 3 4 3 3 4 3 5 Bogey 4 Birds 2 3 11 14 16 17 Eagle 6 Pars the rest. bino819

It's rounds like my 3rd one where well... it's a good thing it's not alternate shot. My tee shot on that long par 3 on the front was so far left that it went over the edge and down to that beach. Almost saved par, because that's the kind of silly round this was. More bogeys than pars, but fortunately I kept the birdies pumping to salvage something. R3: -7 bino819

New season, let's go! Round 1: -9 (62). Frustratingly bad. Basically no wind should be no problem, yet felt like I left a bit too much on the greens and tempo was back to bending me over when I didn't need it at all. Had a stupid bogey on the 9th par 3 where my tee shot distance read was way off thanks to a sneaky elevation change and then made an absolute mockery of my uphill heavy rough splash. Not quite the start what I wanted, I usually try to set a minimum of a -10 round so that I don't need to work harder in the next round to make a cut. Really depends on if the round plays harder or if the cut score is a bit worse. Round 2: -12 (59). Well, 3 eagles on this round should set the better ball card up well, almost made it 4 on the 18th but ended up missing a foot or two of distance. I usually don't even score eagles, that might be my quota for the week in just one round! Was about to tune up the band for a missed cut with three holes to go and needing a score on all of them to be safe, but made a clutch chip on the 16th to finally knock out some pressure, scoring on the 17th, and 18th I already told about. 8 holes between 8th and 15th with lots to fill in, but everywhere else was good! Escaped into a made cut and preserving my green marks this week. Definitely felt more pressure to keep up this week because of it, forgot what that feels like since I haven't been in this situation since the red fast era. Could also be the shootout this week, -19, possibly even -20 is a devilish cut line! bino819

bino819 schmiff 2nd round -4 The pain pills kicked in and I was feeling no pain. I did not even feel it when Ms Butt kicked my butt for missing another 'dead in the hole' putt that came up 3" short. Bottom line is when you are averaging around 30' from the hole for 18, you are not going to make enough birdies to make any cuts. It seems like I have been away 2 years rather than 2 months. Sorry again Paul. I do not like the ps5 controller. (another learning curve I am going through) Good luck to my teammates (and everyone else I suppose)

You'll hit your stride soon - you already improved by 3 shots in conditions where most people dropped several shots!

I've been trying unsuccessfully for a while now. Also - to everyone else: Waiting on one R1 and two R2 scores before I can see where we stand heading into the weekend for one match. In our other matches, The Fore Fathers lead Driving Force 7-1 and we have a 4-4 tie between Smoking Aces and The Superbad Putters. Good luck going into the weekend!

Round 3: -9. Incremental improvements of one stroke each round so far, but it would be nice to be less consistent. I got off to an unexpectedly good start by birdying the first three holes, and then I stopped to consider the fact that I might end up having a good round, which instantly stalled it.
