Welcome to Nonza Match Club. Designed for the 2K monthly theme series. This one I decided to have a bit of fun with and make my first bunkerless course. I really like how this one turned out and actually think it might be my best course to date. My main goal was to make a course that felt like it had been first made 100+ years ago with nothing else other than shovels and spades. As a result expect several blind shots, many humps and bumps and the good/bad bounces that go with those. Expect the usual "Gizer" greens and use of angles you're accustomed to on my courses. Enjoy

Played this last night and absolutely loved it. As you describe above it felt like a course that had been in play for a very long time. It was as rugged as the landscape it was built on and very natural and organic. It was a rollercoaster ride from tee to green. I agree I think this is your best course to date. The little townships and interconnecting roads created a very immersive environment. It was only until I read your intro that I realised it was bunkerless! You had me distracted with such a unique design. Clever framing in the second photo as both holes work their way down towards to the small port. An easy 5-star favourite. A course I would happily play again and again, and with a change in wind direction creating a very different course I'm sure. Great work.

Been looking forward to this one for ages and you nailed the theme in a way that isn't gimmicky. 8 and 17 are stupid good and I loved the par fives. Definitely your best for my money and it's a tough list to top. Awesome job!

Grats on an awesome publish Gizer. The environment as ever was stunning and generally I thought the plot worked great. Loved the land movement and some of those crazy blind tee shots, and the two flick wedge par threes (2 and 17?) were so much fun. And bunkerless to boot! Stunning work here.

Nailed it! Just enjoyed my round at Nonza. Looks like the natural lay of the land and greens looked intimidating from a distance but played fair. Background planting and off site stuff looked real. Well done. Thanks, Bob

Bunkerless and still a real challenge that crushed me when conditions were up. Not sure how to describe the feel of an Energizer course outside of effortlessly natural. It just feels pure, like everything fits where it should, most importantly the golf holes. Not sure how you have continued to up yourself in that department but well done.
The par 3s stood out to me on this one for sure as stunners. But also, creating challenging par 5s without bunkers or overt hazards should be about impossible to pull of like you did. Really enjoyed it, and it would be tough to choose between this and Lauterbrunnen for your #1.

Really authentic feel to it. The overcast conditions worked well with the plot to give it a very rural feel. The seaside village looks great i.imgur.com/cqFHyCm.jpgAs well as the one up in the hills over the gorge i.imgur.com/kPmSRpt.jpgA quaint little clubhouse i.imgur.com/raKVubE.jpgAnd then that big ass castle i.imgur.com/lcgnUYz.jpgPlayed in medium winds it kept me on my toes with the elevation changes. The side lies and winds caught me out on a couple of holes and the greens were "agricultural" which is the exact look and play you were going for. I overplayed the 4th and ended up down the ditch. Plenty of ground work on the 5th. I thought I had it on the 8th catching a little lip on the way past. Then being so excited I smashed my birdie put through the break. Close again on 9. The 11th was tricky to get to. The drivable 12th was a nice hole, too bad I three putted it. Went for it on 13 and escaped with a birdie. Hit the green on 17 and was off for two. The par 5's were my nemesis with only the first coughing up a shot. Really lovely environment and 5 stars!

I absolutely love this. Going to play it again in firm and faster conditions, but this is a beauty!
