Published an 18 hole beta under jcollick_rookiebeta2 if anyone wants to give it a go and provide any feedback. Planting is about 95% complete so there are a couple bare areas that aren’t finalized yet.

Hey man just played through your beta and think you have done a really nice job overall. The environment is great and the camber use on your fairways is fantastic. Some notes I have are that I would like to see more sculpting of your waste bunkers. At times it seems flat to the fairway/rough. Second thing was I’m not the biggest fan of the few holes that have the light brown bare look all along the one side, I feel like it detracts from your environment personally. Then the next thing was have a look at your pins on hole 14. The one I played was really tough and tucked in on a yellow/orange slope with red all around it. My approach ran all the way off and then my chip shot came back at me a little bit and I was directly uphill. There was a stretch of 4 holes that felt a bit repetitive as you had back to back par 3s, a drivable par 4 and then another par three I think. Would have liked a nice long hole mixed in there because even though the distance varies it still felt the same.

The last thing I want to say is I think you could dial up your greens more. You made good use of green angles and tried to create hole strategy but I felt usually if I just hit the middle of the fairway I was fine. I didn’t have to choose a side or really try to take on a hazard. I think this all comes down to green slopes and the angles were there.

All this to be said that I hope you do really well in this contest and it’s just my opinion. Hope you tear my beta apart that is hopefully coming next week.
