And so we begin…..plan is to surface and sculpt all 18 holes and then go back and fill in the planting. Different approach then I’ve taken in the past.  |

Alright I guess I lied. But had to get a test hole done to see if I could pull off the look I was going for. Might need some tweaking but this has potential  |

4 holes laid down. We’re making progress!   Probably going to post a beta after the front 9 is laid down for anyone that wants to give it a go. |

Dunno what I like more, the course or your username Hopefully the course, but my 10 year old username from middle school is pretty good too lol. Think it’s the sole reason I made it into DT |

If anyone wants to give the front 9 a go, the beta is published under jcollick_rookiebeta1. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. It’s worth noting that left of 2 green, as well as 6 and 9 green sites are not completely planted as I still have to do the clubhouse/surrounding holes.

Just gave your front nine a play. Like it. Planting and bunkering look nice. Some well designed holes - especially like No. 6 & No. 8.
* Maybe it's just me but I didn't think the fairway/rough textures (colors)look good together.
* No. 5 dogleg left- Maybe raise up the fairway on the far side of driver landing area for visibility and keeping the ball in the fairway.

Just played the front nine. I love your bunkering. It makes the course look so natural and gives off a Pinehurst/North Carolina kind of look. Really like the drive on the 1st and the 8th was definitely my favorite.
I also agree with the comment above about the rough texture. For some reason, it just seems a little bit off in places. I think it looks fine against the fairway, but the transition from green to heavy rough looks a bit harsh in my opinion.
