My course Big Bean Hill for the parkland contest is a 6913 yard par 70. The front nine provides an old style country club feel while the back nine is more open.
Hole 1: Play out closer to the water, as you have a better angle into the green while also having a shorter shot.
Hole 2: Your drive should be as close to the right bunker as than provides a better run up option for this reachable 5.
Hole 3: With the last hole also providing an eagle chance, we have a Lion's Mouth template for this drivable 4. Safe shot is a lay up with a long iron/fairway wood.
Hole 4. The green favors a fade, so you can stick the ball on the right-left sloping green.
Hole 5: For this centerline hazard, you want to play on the right side for the angle, but the left if you want an easier tee shot.
Hole 6: The easiest hole on the course in my opinion, you want to avoid the deep bunker and water long of the green.
Hole 7: The green looks more uphill than it is, the bunker long is more intimidating than it plays. It's a simple hole.
Hole 8: It's an easy hole if you don't end up left. The bunker left of the green is very deep.
Hole 9: Everything on this hole breaks towards the water. Green is this hole's challenge with the amount of slope on it.
Hole 10: This hole is fairly straight forward, but with a narrower fairway.
Hole 11: This biarritz green is very tricky if you end up on the wrong side. The huge bunker short of the green is not where you want to end up.
Hole 12: The redan style green is tricky if you don't play the right shot in. Proper shot is a fade to avoid the bunker left.
Hole 13: This drivable 4 has a small and tricky green. Good luck making eagle here.
Hole 14: The par 4 14th is a tricky fairway, with a punchbowl style green, Missing the fairway isn't a huge disadvantage though
Hole 15: The reachable par 5, 15th is a crowned green with falloffs on all sides. Not an easy hole.
Hole 16: A tricky green for the shot in, the par 3 has a right-left sloped green with a huge falloff on the left side.
Hole 17: The more you take off of this prize dogleg, gives you a shorter shot and a better angle into the green.
Hole 18: DON'T END UP IN THE RIGHT GREENSIDE BUNKER!! It's a hard one to get out of.
Enjoy yourself while playing, it's supposed to be a fun course, not too challenging either.
