So should we change our game settings to pro now? Will that be all we have to do to mimic the new tgctour settings?

I will slowly get out of TCG Tours if Beer league goes Master.
I play there to enjoy stressless play even if for a modest player like me getting a top 50 is quite unreachable. What will this be with Master swing ?
So I will stick to societies where I can have fun.

Things most likely wont get too much easier with the change as you are definitely going to see a change in course design, yet again, where landing zones and fairways get smaller and narrower and greens begin to look like a pizza in the aim of balancing difficulty. Some may disagree, but there is a substantial chunk of designers who "design for plat" and seeing how width and ensuring that the player "always had a shot" became a big deal. The need for that will drop drastically as players will hit more fairways and greens and im expecting a good number to begin deviating back to pre 2K21

DoyleyA small suggestion to make the pro swing a bit more challenging without killing the intention of the admins. An easy fix: Considering turning off the swing/putting assists, by which I mean the meters on display during the swing/putt process, including the haptic vibration for when to start the downswing. In addition, disable shot feedback. I did all of this very early in my days with 2K21 and have found that removing these distractions really let me focus on playing by feel, and it really helped. This is especially true with having eliminated the stress of slow/perfect/fast, as the path and distance of the ball provide all the feedback needed. Just my 2-cents but I think it could go a long way to quelling some of the “things will be too easy” concerns.

Regardless of how I feel about those changes (I've played without metres, feedback, and rumble and with, and my scores are the same personally), I don't think they can be locked by the society in-game. So you'd be relying on people adhering to the rules and disabling them themselves.

It's an excellent change.
Exactly how will you get the best of the best with 1/3 of the player base excluded? The above is an absolutely terrible idea if cross platform fair play balance is paramount. Concerning WGR, it's irrelevant if people are playing on Beginner or Blindfolded w/ Legend. Players preforming the best will rise up the ranks. Nothing changes.

I am not a great player but really enjoyed playing in the lower reaches of the CC tour. So much so that I donate every month to the tour. But I had really lost interest in the tour when the swing changes came in as I suddenly became a terrible player and hardly made any cuts at all. I even changed from PS5 to PC which I found slightly better. But really I want to play on my PS5 because of the bigger TV etc. I had lost interest that much that I was even thinking of stopping my donation.
I do understand the top players thoughts on this and is it a shame you can't have the master level in the top leagues, but for me this will make me enjoy the tour again!!

I think it's also important to note that the issue has arisen in large part due to factors outside of TGC Tours control in terms of console performance disparity.
I know HB say it technically isn't a game with crossplay but I'm sure a large proportion of us buy the game to take part in these tours.
It's a damning state of affairs for HB that it has been left to TGCT and the wider community to brainstorm ways to make cross-platform play fairer and more enjoyable. I mean, what do those guys do when they release a game? Just total radio-silence regarding a really obvious issue that affects arguably one of the games biggest selling-points.
So, I think scoring will be lower. The gap between console MIGHT narrow (it also might not of course) but seriously appreciate Doyley taking steps to at least try and give us guys competing on Xbox more of a chance.
Of course it may well turn out that even us Xbox players don't like it, or the backlash is so strong you don't go ahead with it. But I'll go in with an open mind and I certainly appreciate the attempt to change things and take a risk. I only wish HB made the same effort and communication with the playerbase as you guys.

I wouldn’t be playing this game anymore without TGCTours, so a big thanks to everyone who runs this. With that being said, I’m going to give my honest opinion. I think this is terrible. I have zero desire to play this game on pro. Math is always going to be a big thing in this game, but now even the anxiety over missing your tempo is removed, for the top level players at least. Shot over water? Who cares, you will hit perfect. Why would I even be nervous? This will completely ruin Platinum imo, and if the top level is ruined...what’s the point? I won’t play Beer League instead, regardless of the difficulty, as the WGR stuff is a huge factor. If TST makes the switch too, it’s definitely the end of the road for me. I’m happy at least that I can walk away as champion. I agree with you completely. This feels like it's a change to boost the numbers back to pre red fast change levels. I get the train of thought but they'll be an even bigger divide between the top 30 players that currently dominate each week and the rest of the field. I think if there was a WGR system incorporated on Beer League I'd make the switch.
