What's a diagonal swing? Thanks. its the way I used to get wins on h2h against players with more skill than me Which is? Did you swing backwards or something..

On simulation mode on the EA game if you wanted to draw or fade the ball you couldn't just move a marker to the right or left of the ball and swing like normal. You had to make an in/out or out/in swing path with the stick

Yea on simulation i think all shots apart from the really short shots were all diagonal swing. Your golfer either had a natural draw or fade to his/her swing. It was much harder to do consistantly and also took out people using aids for straight shots. Wish the golf club could bring it in.

Wish the golf club could bring it in. thats right, when I wrote my comment I was almost certain it was on all shots. I only just started getting into it when my PS3 was broken by one of my boys by trying to crap 5 discs at once in there..... It was definately challenging and I only shot par a few times I think. I figured out I needed to exaggerate my fade as that was the most natural diagonal swing path for me.... Never mastered the draw tho. Man they used to go all over the shop. Lol. HB should look at using that swing mechanic on TGC if they ever went down the path of difficulty settings

One of the things about TGC is that it offers each player the exact same tools, possible shots, adjustments and such as wevery other golfer. There is no putting points in this or that. There is no controlling spin mid-air when you see a shot is going long. It is a game where course management and skill separates everyone.
The secondary factor is there is virtually an unlimited possibility of courses available to the player and the tour. The makers were very smart to include the golfing community in this way.
As it has been stated before, Tiger and others are an arcade game. I can't tell you how many times I would hit a shot from 190-240 and I'd get that stupid heart beat and suddenly I've my 15th albatross. I'm still waiting for my first one here. HB wanted to make TGC as most realistic as possible and I think they have come pretty darn close. So long as they continue to listen to the people who play the game and work to get things fixed as they do, I will be most happy and like all, continue to support this wonderful game.

EA game I go to the web site some time and every one on there says rory pga has licensed courses and tgc don't big deal. I posted but tgc has over 58,000 courses didn't even have to pay for them. boy some of them didn't like that they deleted my post. On rory pga they have the same ol tired course's the did when it tw the first yr it came out. After the first yr you know where to hit the ball every hole every course whats the fun in that. lets see ya delete this post mark you know who ya are.
