I finally got around to play this course today and was glad I did! It’s extremely authentic to the Creek Club and has many of the same characteristics and even the vistas are really almost spot on. The holes are really well laid out and I enjoyed the design of the greens. The only difference between this course and the Creek is the Creek Club has 3 distinct sections with 6 holes that play similar which helps the flow of the course but here- there are holes inland, dunes and seaside all mixed together. It’s an interesting choice to do that here. I would have loved to see a punch bowl green as the one on the Creek( 6th hole) is spectacular! Other than that, great job! Thank you for the play! I think one thing that clearly holds the Creek back at times is how narrow the plot is, as it forced the routing to start inland, which is relatively uninspiring in the grand scheme of things. I really wanted to start my course with a downhill stunner towards the water, and then route the player back up and inland twice throughout the round. I also finish the round with 6 inland holes, just like how the Creek starts with 6 inland holes. I also do have a similar punchbowl, the 14th. It's not quite the same as 6 on the original but it has a similar punchbowl effect for back pins. |

A very appropriately named course with a very estuary feel to it.
The symmetry gives the course a very good feel and I like the select surface colour for the dark rough grass giving it a very lush look.
Bunkers are a standout with their flat bottoms and the undulating greens need to be hit in the right places to have any chance of birdie.
I was going alright until an inexplicable red slow approach shot on 15 caused a bogey.
Really enjoyed my round and voted 5 stars!

Very well designed course here sir. Opening tee shot sucked me right into the round and the course continued to impress from there. I really liked how you mixed up the environment throughout the routing. After reading your write up, I was sort of expecting to see the holes transition to different areas in bunches but you did a wonderful job routing the course to mix up the different environments well. I played from the whites to get the CC experience and was well tested to keep my round in the 60’s (a couple of eagles really helped with that 😉). I can imagine this track is a real challenge from the tips as this course really puts a premium on your shot making abilities and there’s definitely some areas where you DON’T want to miss. I’m looking forward to returning here to try my luck from the big boy tees. Great job!

I really was worried it would be "this hole has sand dunes" then "this hole has trees everywhere" then "this hole is on the ocean". I wanted a lot of holes to have 2 of them |
