Stout County Golf Course mattf27 WhatAboutAmeobiHere is my entry into the CC contest. Elements are Drivable 4 (hole 7), shared green (holes 10,13), 3 shot par 5 (hole 11), and centerline hazards (8, 18). Was trying to make this like a major championship venue that could be played on CC or at the Plat level. Black Tees are judging for the CC contest, but White Tees are the back tees. A major version will be published with a set of "Tiger Tees" at 8000 yards. The course was inspired by 3 courses : Austin CC, Blackwolf Run, and Wild Rock Golf Club. The parkland look is way different from what I've put out before and included my first attempts at cart paths and tournament objects. Really happy with how the course ended up turning out. Enjoy! (Added a little cypher on holes 1-7 as well. Q style)

I liked this course. The environment was good, planting solid and the rock work was nice. Tournament objects didn’t feel forced or out of place (honestly didn’t notice them much which is good). Hole designs were solid, those mounds behind the bunker are no joke. Greens played well and can see where they could be turned up from the default 150ish and still be ok. Played on pin 3 and there were 1 or 2 pins that seemed “dickish” but looking back I think I played them wrong lol. Nicely done sir.

This is easily my favourite of your courses and it isnt close. Loved the subtle environment and those rock walls looked gorgeous. Strategy was a massive step up from Vikingklubbens. Bunkering looked great, maybe a few of the mounds were too harsh for me but I really liked the way the course played. Great job, TJ!

I maybe biased as a fellow Barbarian , but this course is quite simply stunning TJ , the winding river and rockwork is simply unique and the test is undeniably ready for a Tournament in any conditions . Q catcherman22 jwtexan get your rangers out and working on this masterpiece . Good luck in the competition partner and cannot wait to get started on our collab course !! Si

Really liked this course, big fan of hole 12. Reminded me a lot of Pasatiempo hole 10. Played the wrong tees (white) & couldn’t putt to save my life so shot +6 but course looks really nice and enjoyed my round. Personally found the back easier than the front but probably just getting my swing in line with first round of the day. Great job man

fun course here, still deciphering the hidden things.
A lot of the things I had gripes with are just personal preference things here and there but overall enjoyed how this one played.
The biggest thing is some of your holes are just so well framed and great looking they can make some of your more subtle holes pale in comparison. Hole 3 to me outshines a lot of the rest of your front 9 both with it's cool bunker placement and background and MAN, it's a good one. I also really liked holes like 12 played and felt the back 9 really picked up steam.
Overall the par 5s really stood out to me here as my favorite holes on the course. I felt maybe some of your par 4s blurred together a bit especially on the front 9 and felt your par 3s couldve had some more of those stylistic pots on them as well. In that sense it definitely felt that your bunkering got more and more fine tuned as the round went on making maybe a couple of holes feel a bit out of sync with the rest of the course because you have one bunkering type found on 3,8-18(pots with high mounded grass lips, did I mention I love these?!?) and then a different one only on the front 9 and par 3s (sunken tiny pots).
Also as a kinetic player, Ive now played all 4 pins and still havent broken par so yeah, I think the Black tees definitely are plat worthy lol
Overall Stellar Course with a very unique style that I appreciate, Tried to be extra nitpicky for ya as you probably already know I like your design style and courses

Be honest Q . Holes 4 and 5 kinda suck. There is nothing technically wrong with them, but they are sort of different then the rest of the course. One reason is that the green-sites do not fit the stadium build the rest of the course does (I think). Also, the bunkers just aren't the same on those holes. Trust me, I tried to rebuild them, but just had no ideas for that part of the land. Course really picks up on hole 7, and it seems to be showing from what others are saying. Additionally, I'm going to build a Major version for this course, so it will be great for a plat event for sure! Will crank up the difficulty, but I will try not "trick it out". Also, thanks for getting nitpicky. I guess you know I like that and I'll do the same for yours, bud.

Looking forward to getting a couple rounds in here tonight, once I read that it was inspired by Austin CC the first thought in my head was rockwalls, beautiful beautiful rockwalls. Scroll down to the pics and I was not let down, those look really nice and this 8000 yard Tiger Tee publish in the future, tag me.
