Fingers crossed there's a solution to this that one of you lovely people can help me with.
I friend of mine on PC created a society, and when the membership numbers swelled he designated me as an admin. Subsequently however he abandoned the PC platform and concentrated on PS, so he stopped participating in the society in any way. Also subsequently a new society was created by someone else that replaced the format and seasons of the original society.
So, the first society is now dead and had been for several months. It still has some members in it but no activity at all. I want to leave as there's no point being in it, but as an admin I don't see that option. I'm not the owner and never have been, and in fact I never even used any admin functions, but nonetheless I seem to be stuck there.
I know societies can't be deleted or even closed, but is there some way for me to leave? Is there even a way for me to change my admin status and then leave?
Any thoughts / info gratefully received.
Nigel

I think the society creator would have to take you off admin status and then you could leave.

Yes, I suspected that was probably it. Thanks for responding.

Yes, I suspected that was probably it. Thanks for responding. You can just leave. It won't matter since it's been dead.

That's the thing, I can't leave as there is no option for me to do so in the same way as with other societies. I assume this is because I am an Admin rather than just a regular member.
