In my opinion majors and perhaps the qualifiers aswell should be played on legend difficulty. In real life majors are supposed to be golf’s toughest tests and I believe that the increase of difficulty along with tough venues can actually provide that. On legend, it is tough to consistently swing perfect so the golf played actually becomes the game of misses, where you often have to play your miss(e.x black fast/slow), just like in real life. It should also eliminate the possibilty of players shooting 60-under on the tournament.
The opposing opinion that could come into play is that the players might not "enjoy" the game anymore, as it is actually possible to shoot 10-over for the round if you dont keep yourself together for all 18 holes. My answer to this is our qualifying system. Only the best are included anyways, so the players should be able to keep up. Imo it makes it even more exciting, the chance of a total blowup. Let me know what you think, also your opinion on having legend on qualifying tournaments.
Thank you for the time

Just no.
IRL the act of swinging a club and hitting the ball doesn't change in difficulty for Majors. They don't make players use different clubs or different golf balls.
The course changes.
That's it.
Same principle here. The game doesn't change; the course is just difficult.

Sure, it could, I guess. Although, "exciting" isn't the adjective I'd use. I'd opt more for "frustrating" or "infuriating" instead.
I've read that some players enjoy playing with the Legend swing, but without Tempo. The game gets a bit more shallow, but I haven't tried it, so I don't have an opinion on it either way.
It also might be fairer across platforms in terms of Tempo, but we used to have that type of mechanic (TGC1) and it was Controller-X-Axis lottery, so IDK if it's really any better.
