Which course idea did you decide to build? I definitely think that going with grass bunkers will play to your advantage because you first design league course had some awesome grass bunkers! I’m kinda interested to see what you’ve come up with and both of your course ideas are pretty different from bosduinen. Anyway, just wanted to check in and see how your course is coming along. 😀 Badly Experimenting with a bit of NGLA/Fishers Island inspiration but with original hole concepts and a fun environment.

Also going with an early autumn (fall) look too - the species of trees I've selected are mostly deciduous IRL but some trees have changed colour before others in my fictional world. So an early-mid September look.

If you could keep all CC WIP discussion solely to this thread I think that would be appreciated .

I'm incredibly confused about what has happened to this thread but I learned a lesson today. Dont do WIP threads.

Charlie, we love how enthusiastic you are about this community and designing, don't change that. What I was try to hint at was maybe just toning down how much you post about your projects in people's streams and threads. It's gotten to the point where it seems like there's a new course/plot every week or couple days. No one can really get invested in what you're doing if that's the case. By keeping you ideas in one spot people have a place to catch up (should they so chose) on what you are working on. Getting updated all the time with little to show for it has almost turned it into "The boy who cries wolf" kind of situation, and we don't want that. Stay engaged please. At the same time just try to be a little more mindful of this. Looking forward to seeing what you do come up with for CC!

I'm basically driving myself into a spiral of designing decline and either a) get bored of a plot or b) hate a plot or c) both pretty quickly. I have a plot I dont love at the moment but hey, I'm having a little fun with it Thanks Matty - I really do appreciate that post. Makes me feel a little better about my course

100% what Matty said.
I love the way you live for this community and your enthusiasm. Just, you know, channel that enthusiasm in the right direction at times, you know? If Matty had half your passion for the game, imagine how good Shoreditch would have been!
We're all proud of the courses we make, after all, we spend a ghaaastly amount of time doing it. But sometimes, working behind the scenes for a little while until you've got a course and an idea you know will stick, might reduce some pressure when designing and in the end help with actually making a course stick all the way through.
And same as Matty said, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Things are changing... -reverse Redan in front of the clubhouse? check -a blind approach shot similar to an Alps? check -coastal Lions Mouth? check The rest of the course isn't template holes, but I wanted to do my own spins on them. Oh, and here are two more pictures. Liking a more burnt-out look at the moment
