Where I'm at June 6th:

• I don't yet have a fleshed out name, but I have a pretty good idea of what it will be called. 
• I'm not fully set on which requirements I'm doing, but I know I'm doing at least 2 bunkerless holes, a par 3 greater than 230 yds, and likely a par 3 shorter than 125.
• I'm likely to unintentionally have met more than 4 requirements, just depends on which 4 I want to showcase the most.
• I have the front 9 fully routed, half of it is half done (very little planting), 1 basically complete hole (5).
• Back 9 has yet to be routed at all, but several hole ideas in planning, and fleshed out a tad when making initial plot.

5th Tee Shot, hole is 95% done. Just some minor touchups from 4th green to tee, and green to 6th tee and planting around the right side of fairway. Pretty quick changes. Really happy with this hole, as it's a driveable risk/reward par 4 that's also bunkerless. But I believe there's a lot of options and a lot of danger....and maybe some eagles!




I wanted to plant 5 first among the 18, because I knew it would be bunkerless, and because it would be very strategic with a lot of undulation and elevation drop-offs on both sides of the fairway and green. I wanted it to be perched and be overlooking other portions of the course. It might be a tad busy in some areas, so I need to be aware of that in my final touchups much later on. Pretty happy with the planting in crap to the left. Unsure if I want to implement OB there. There's no water and it is playable out of it, but a ton of undergrowth. Not sure.



This thread is mostly for me to make mental notes of where I'm at throughout this comp, and to see my progress. I'm having fun with this one, and excited for it to be my first 18. Good luck to all entrants! Already seeing some awesome stuff.

Alright, it's been a month, and I have a couple updates! Where I'm at July 7th:

• Still no name, but that's ok  
• I think I've settled on 4 required elements that best suit this course:

• At least one par 3 greater than 230 yards
  
• At least one par 3 shorter than 125 yards
• Back to back par 3s or par 5s (par 5s)
• At least three par 4s under 400 yards

• Front 9 is fully surfaced, back nine has begun planning but barely
• Need more plaaaaaaaaaanting lol

K, last update. Still not where I want to be on this project with less than a month to publish, but ya know - we're pushing to the limit here. I'm gonna go full throttle a couple upcoming weekends to help, because weekdays I haven't given much time because of my schedule. Weekends haven't been great because I got a PS5 and ya.........we behind fam. That said I'm liking my start to the back 9. Having a lot of fun when I can design, so that's a positive. The hole below is not yet done, but I'm loving where it's at. My biggest worry with this plot at the moment is, come crunch time - how I will fill it out in the background. I don't want to overdo it, but I have to find a balance of not just dead space. So that will be....a journey.

Lying again (“last update” pssshh LULW) so there’s a creak in my neck and a snake in my boot, but fam we in the final stages. Ima need all of tomorrow night, but I’m loving where this course is at. Just some minor planting, car stuff, and final tweaks and checks. I’ve put an immense amount of time into it, especially this last week.

The only worry I now have issssssssss.....it’s supposed to be bad thunderstorms all day and night so ya, fingers crossed. Damn this is taking me back to procrastinating in college. Time will tell if I will actually be the last entry - something tells me someone else out there is just like me and will submit Wednesday morn lol.

Oh, and Kanye somehow released Donda before I released this course. Smh k ima sleep.
