Hey all, first time in a design contest here but excited to give it a go! I'll try to post some progress pics as we go. My goal is to make a "traditional" links course in a less traditional locale. I'm hoping for an accessible round of golf with the primary defense being the elements rather than any specific hazards. Cheers!

Bit of a progress report here, I've got 16 of 18 holes laid out and fairly sculpted so far, with clear plans for 17 & 18. Looking like it'll come in around a 7200 yard par 72, but with repeated play-tests it really doesn't play very long (all par 5s are reachable, some with an iron, and 3/4 par threes <200).
Largely unplanted so far, so I'm hoping to spend the next month or so just on planting and making everything cohesive. This is the aspect I usually rush of course design so I think it'll be good to give myself lots of time! Designing on Xbox, this can be time consuming!

Bit more of a progress report! Things are very nearly done, just finishing and detailed planting to do now.
Final product comes in at a 7300 yard par 72 that can play really easy especially in calm conditions. Especially if you're not on the highest difficulties, I'm expecting rounds in the low 60s at least and multiple eagle opportunities. Hoping it's a fun round more than a challenging round!
The course meets several of the criteria, so I'm still deciding which to include for judging. Settled on the drivable par 4 and back-to-back 5s, but will decide on the others before submitting!
Great to see everyone else getting theirs in, there is a ton of stiff competition here!

We're finally almost done!! All 18 holes are planted and sculpted, pretty much all off-course design work is completed. Just the absolute last fine detailed design to go - I'll be away this weekend but hoping to get it published next week. As for required design elements, I've settled on: - Back to back par 5s
- Par 3 > 230 yards
- Drivable Par 4
- Three Par 4s <400 yards
Really playable course, several eagle opportunities per round, plays well in up-to very high winds from any direction which was one of the main goals. Playing on a custom/pro difficulty, I've been typically coming in the low 60s but actual competent golfers should be fine even on Master.
