Welcome To the Ashtabula plantation. This par 72 7155yd championship golf course is located in the South Carolina low country. I got inspired for this project from my recent trip to myrtle beach for a golf trip. The course name was inspired off of a old plantation house in South Carolina the course style was made to challenge you from to tee to green with different style of shots throughout the course. This course might not be the most flashy course out there and It probably wasnt the best time to publish with the national Treasure going on but I hope people dont let this one pass through all the great courses getting published i Hope everyone enjoys the course. God bless and have a good day. Hole 1 460yd par 4 Hole 2 551yd par 5 Hole 3 484yd par 4 Hole 4 573yd Par Hole 5 150yd Par 3 Hole 6 500yd Par 4 Hole 7 380yd par 4 Hole 8 195yd par 3 Hole 9 383yd par 4 Hole 10 476yd Par 4 Hole 11 290yd Par 4 Hole 12 174yd par 3 Hole 13 558yd par 5 Hole 14 355yd par 4 Hole 15 415yd par 4 hole 16 490 yd par 4 hole 17 183yd par 3 Hole 18 541yd par 5

Loved the environment, really captured the Lowcountry feel. Liked the bunkering. Tee shots on 3 and 4 with the new swing feel are knee knockers for sure. The drivable 4 on 11 (I think) is a definite bait job with some great risk/reward. Well done, Bear.

did you ever get a chance to play it would love to here your opinion I'll give it a try tomorrow. Hey Bear, Got a chance to play 9 holes last night. Overall, there was a ton of strategy built into the design. Nothing was just "grip it and rip it". And like I said previously, it has a real Pete dye feel to it due to the size, shape, and sculpting of the bunkers. The bunkers were the primary actors in the hole strategy as well. A lot of interesting variety. Well done in the hole design category. If I had one criticism, it would be the planting. I found it to be a little too scripted in places. An example of that is the undergrowth. Looks like the same bush at the same size used throughout. I'd recommend mixing that up a bit. But this is picky stuff and somewhat personal preference. Overall, very nice design. Cheers, Peter
