I figured a lot of these course threads would sprout up as the deadline neared lol. I have not created a course since last summer so I am rusty but I am giving it a go at this anyways.
My course is meant to be a throw back style course. A lot of the greens are uphill, most slope from front to back and it is tree lined. It is a par 71 7300 yard course. I used the rural theme as I just feel that this theme has more of a us open feel to it. I am not done editing the course at all and probably will do some moderate planting. I also do not think the course is overly difficult enough and may have to do some other upgrades to the course. I released a test version for people to try and to give me feedback. The course is yet to be named but you can find it published under Magru usopen test.

I thought this course was very nice. You did a nice job conveying the look of the traditional U.S. Open style courses. It reminded me very much of Oak Hill and Oakmont. I thought the firm and fast settings, the varied hole lengths and the rural theme worked very well on this course. If I had to nitpick, it would be that a few elevation change were a bit too severe and that some of the pins were on unfair slopes. Overall, though, great job!

By all means though nitpick which pins did you find unfair? I need all the help I can get at this point. I know which slopes may be too severe already

I think it was number 9 where the uphill second was a bit too severe and the pin was on a yellow slope. Also, there was a hole in the middle of the front nine where the downhill was maybe a bit too severe. That was all and it was a very good course.

Played it to -4 in 10-15 mph winds. I didn't find any unreasonable pins. Sure some have break but you can stop the ball around the hole on all of them. Only gripe is hole 7 cant reach the fairway in a 13 mph wind in the face I landed just infront of the fairway and my ball jumped backwards.

Yea I was able to hit it with 10 in the face but knew anymore than that would be trouble. And number 9 is too elevated if you miss the fairway there is no getting up to the green. I'm not sure if that's fine or needs to be leveled just a bit
