Faro Viejo - Isla Mocha, Chile "WIP"

Welcome to the Faro Viejo (Old Lighthouse) region of Isla Mocha, Chile...


I decided to stray from the mainland as there is one other designer doing a Chile course and two others doing Argentina. I focused on sculpting and land movement to generate the aesthetic interest on the course, and stayed away from my usual planting-based visuals. Because of this, I recommend playing in Default, Dawn, or Dusk lighting. However, some people prefer the higher sun lighting settings, so I tried to make those look as good as I could, but the sculpting and land movement of the landing areas become difficult to see. This will have a serious effect on play, as almost every shot has a good or bad kicking slope depending on the angle of attack you plan to take. With all that being said, I present you with the hole-by-hole preview of Faro Viejo...

I also have to chime in here and say nice job so far! This looks really good and it's great use of the textures and the variety in which you are using them. I really enjoyed Rocky Plateau and was not looking forward to our recent match up in the WC. I echo Ben here and also think the natural looking courses tend to get me hooked so I'm looking forward to the final product.

Quick bump @babybull, as I'm just noticing how good some of those bunkers look again. I think reebdoog might do my favourite bunkers in the game and some of those look just as good as his on Edenvale or Kukimbia etc. Great work buddy!

Love your final take on this and it was great discussing our little part of the world. Amazing how much differently they've turned out.

Played this again today because I just freaking love the course man. Loved the hole strategy and I'm serously jelly of your bunkers.  Another environment in the Nation Treasure comp that nailed the enviroment.  Thanks again for another great course my man!
