I had charted out my distances for all % from 100 down to 60 on all my clubs. With this new swing, I am now finding that setting club up for % is not working. The club goes pretty much the same distance no matter % I move it to. This is normal shot not pitch or chip.
Just checked my pitch shots and it is pretty much the same....% shots are crap now.

There is a setting where you can set the percentage and swing like normal and your shot reflects the percentage, but I think that feature is turned off here so you would set your percentage but have to feel the swing out either with the vibration or get really good at picking up hints. I maybe wrong but I think that’s a thing. |

Still has its issues. Just like it better cus we all play the same game now. Well at least us xboxers. Series X and S not included as from what I can tell their scores are better. Also moneyman273 I think they continue to tweak server swing mechanics almost daily as some days it is a lot different than the previous. Since that original red fast update my HDCP has gone from +25 down to +13. I even shot an 83 this morning. Then I backed it up with a 65. |

You have to shorten your back swing as well, setting the marker only adjusts the vibration timing on your controller, but if you play without vibration you will have to pick up certain points in your golfers animation. You could also turn on the swing meter to get a feel for it that way just to practice. It sounds like you are setting the marker and just swinging as you normal would on a full pitch shot, and that is going to produce a 100% shot, you need to shorten your swing also. |

Interesting, I will have to experiment with this, I usually have to set up a few partials every round and I haven't noticed a change at all. If I set up for like an 80% shot and hit close to that number with perfect tempo I seem to get the outcome I expect. I will say that the penalty for not hitting a perfect with these shots is really severe, not sure if that's what maybe be the issue also, partial shots were really hard even before the update, and they are even harder now. I will try and grab some video when I do. If i set up a partial I know my controller vibrates earlier than a full shot, and my golfers backswing is shorter. People who do not use the vibration, take practice swings until they find the correct %, then pick up something (I think someone said he focuses on a pattern on his shirt, and when the club gets there he starts his down swing) I usually focus on where my golfers hands are as a second que even with the vibration because these shots are so tough. I will post my findings, It very may well be broken and I am not understanding the issue you are having correctly, so my video will make sure we are talking about the same thing lol. |

This was the setting I was describing earlier. I play with this off because we play with this off on tour so we have to manufacture our partials. If it is off on your end, switch it to on and I bet it would solve your problem. Not sure why it would switch after update, but who knows lol Upon looking at that setting it was indeed off. I started using that option when I setup a practice hole and was charting distance of % shots. I actually enjoy playing with that on because of the partial shot you get by setting percentages lower. I don't have shot feedback on except for distance so I know how long I am hitting without having to do the math. If I don't hit it straight I know I screwed up the shot but that's on me and not the game. Therefore, I say a big thanks to booze2407 (you nailed it) and an even bigger thanks to Eddie for hanging in there with this old coot. On a side note. I did have a good long look at my avatar when I am swinging (with distance control on) for each % shot, the avatar does swing less on the backswing. Now what would be cool is, if we could get a small app built that would show the swing plane for our avatar and we could use that almost like a 3 click swing plane. Thanks again guys. |
