I am adjusting my normal 100% shots for the new swing tempo and it is a work in progress but my short game has really suffered.
I had been at a point where from 30 yards and in I felt very comfortable I could get up and down but now I'm really struggling with any consistency.
Has anyone figured this out and have any pointers? I'm trying to use my same release that is getting perfect, greys on full shots but really having a hard time on it with shorter shots.

I really try to be mechanically consistent in how I transition from backswing to downswing for all shots, but otherwise I am sort of keying of the avatar's motions.
I suggest to practice a lot of 90% swings with each shot type, then if you can find a little consistency try going back to 100% and keep that same transition and it will seem easier. In general I find hitting perfect tempo is much easier for splash and flops after the changes, and about the same for chips and pitches.

Splashes seem to be pretty similar to before. So 35 yards and in (until you get to chipping range essentially, so like up to 15 yards for me depending on lies and greens), I'm using a splash. Penalty doesn't seem to be too bad on splashes for a red fast, but I'm playing for perfect here now. As long as you don't very fast, splashes should be fine. Out of rough I always aim a bit past my target. Out of fairways almost always a bit before.
35 to 50 yards or so I switch mostly to the flop. I aim a bit past my target, just by a couple yards or so, guarding for either 1) a fast, or 2) a slow, both which now take off distance. Again, playing for perfect.
50-65 yards I'm playing a pitch right now. Again, going for perfect. I believe downswing swing tempo is the same on all shots regardless of your avatar's backswing speed or animation, so I'm just keeping that in mind as I make my follow through and trying to use the same consistent perfect follow through tempo.
Once we get above 65 yards, I'm using a normal LW. The closer to 65 yards, the more I'll err on the side of aiming a bit past my target. This is to guard against the fast or slow reducing distance, but mostly the fast as I find on those partials I have a tendency to execute a fast swing. Once we're in the 75+ yard plus range, I'm playing it as a normal shot like I would any other.

I try to avoid pitches and flops at all costs now. If I cannot get it into splash range I’ll will lay way back for a full shot. Splashes were easier to control tempo to begin with but seem to be less effected if you happen to miss tempo. I will tend to use less drivers off the tee and lay up on more par 5s but trust my ability to hit one closer from 90 yards with a full shot than hitting a 50-60 yard pitch.

I've found partial pitches more difficult because I'll sort of panic on the backswing and jam the stick forward too fast trying to avoid swinging back too far, so I generally don't bother with them now. Full flops and splashes seem easier to achieve a perfect tempo than before, but I still get red fasts out of bunkers for some reason. In that instance I've just taken the backswing a little further to compensate for the lost distance, and my results are pretty much the same.

I have been able to adjust on splashes. I can get 90% perfect on full pitch shots. Flops are a disaster.

Guess they realized that Splashes were everyone's comfort zone, so they nerfed those now. Any kind of partial splash for me is now a very fast and goes about 3 yards

I may start with going with the shortest didstance wedges in hopes to only have to hit full splashes. It’s near impossible for me to do a partial without getting a red fast. Either that or I get really good at chipping lol

I use the splash shot alot around the green. But today it feels a lot different. Yesterday I played my third round an everything was still fine. Today I startet my fourth an there is Mayham. Partial splash went went 2 yards with a red fast. Did they anounce something that there was a change in tempo for this shot?

Its getting to the stage where I'd rather hit from 180 yards than 20!! Surely that can't be right?! 🤣

They did something to the splash shot. I never had much issue getting out of green side bunkers. But today, many of those shots went very fast and the ball reacted as if I missed hitting the ball at all. This game is getting more painful to play than it's worth for me at this point.
