Not the players or fans fault if a club goes into administration either but they get points deduction for that. There needs to be some form of punishment. Simply apologising isn’t good enough, they’ll only try something like this again one day.
I know what you’re saying but I’m pretty sure the leagues all offered to come back no punishment yesterday to nip it in the bud. Then probably said but if you stand Pat their will be punishment upon your return. I think Chelsea and Man City took that offer hearing the backlash and the other teams one by one followed.
Juventus was the last of the Italian teams to withdraw but pretty much was dragged out kicking and screaming. And posted a bullshit statement not admitting any wrongdoing. So the last two clubs left holding the bag currently Real and Barcelona.
