due to the number of lofotens out there I veered away south towards a very geographically rich and bizarre region around the Altai mountain ranges. These mountains separate the eastern tip of Kazakhstan from the western tip of Mongolia. This russian controlled area is known as the "Altai Republic" Mountainous steppe with beautiful yellow trees and rocky outcroppings galore

Besides it's starkness and yellow trees, altai also sports a rare and large variety of blue wildflowers intermixed with yellows

Seeing people make courses with bunkers that are sculpted that well make me feel bad about the bunkers I'm doing that I thought looked good, haha. Great work so far buddy!

Looks like I will win “most rocks” reward. I see you got rid of those giant rocks I saw on discord. Or is that an experiment?

Gonna go out on a limb that not going with Lofoten for Russia was a good choice.

Gonna go out on a limb that not going with Lofoten for Russia was a good choice. Might resurface again someday because the proof of concept came out so well. Was a super dystopian lofoten based off the russian city and surrounding area of norilisk. Was just way too many rocks

The more I research this place the more inspired I am! The pine trees here turn that chlorotic yellow as a defense mechanism to the extremely rapid changes in temperature There are multiple different types of steppes in this area from the extremely rocky to the sandy, loamy types, to the pure alpine steppe supporting an abundance of beautiful wildflowers in Autumn and Spring Everything here is craggily and the course will reflect the intensity of the natural wilderness in this area. Who knows, I'm itching to visit this place IRL now (although I noted this isnt the safest place to visit)

Because of the unusual plot I constructed, I JUST finally was able to manage finishing my 18 hole layout, everything is surfaced but a serious amount of fine tuning is still needed, most of the planting on the course is still in the "placeholder" category and needs to be more finely detailed as well. I guarantee I'll be pushing the deadline with this one

I’m very excited to play this one! The screen shots you’ve posted of both the actual setting and the course itself look sublime!
