Alright boys and girls it’s time for...
ASSMAN’S HOT TAKE Week 1 Review
Holy @!$# boys, it’s finally here. Welcome to team golf. When we started this society we weren’t really sure about what sort of response we would get, but you guys showed up and represented. I won’t get too emotional on the sissy side of a hot take, but just know you all made this guy/Ratchel extremely proud. Alright enough B.S. let’s get to it.
I plan on doing these hot takes every week so stay tuned and comment about what you think.
Week 1 brought us to an island created for me (AssMan) but it turned out to be an island to forget. I left my golf bag on the yacht and had to use some lady clubs I found near the clubhouse. The look on her face when she saw me in my round 1 outfit was priceless to say the least.
There are some damn good strong teams and players in this league and some.... players looking for the 19th hole. Team 3 lead by dansamp and Alan absolutely killed it this week. Alan hit 82% of the fairways in regulation (#1) this week and dansamp hit 81% of the greens (#2 to only platypusbrig). It’s all fairways and greens in regulation for this squad. If they can manage to keep up this sort of play they are going to be the team to beat heading into playoffs. Oh and did I mention this team had 60 birdies between the 4 of them? Watch out.
We have 3 teams right on their tails though. The Fore Skins led by 18 birdies from Miguel, Red Fast Rehab (my personal favorite team name) had 3 strong outings from the likes of MTDonald (16 birdies/2 eagles) Bmells (longest scoring shot 18.9 yds) and Platy (83.33% of greens in regulation #1 which lead him to 18 birdies for himself), and finally team 8 which led the field in eagles this week with 4 from JMUkid and 3 from Mr Moore and Mr Beaz
Now for the rest of the bums. I’m talking the backbone of the league here. Their golf isn’t pretty, their wives aren’t pretty, but man do these guys know how to drink. We have Shake & Bakeodils led by a man trying to sell Tampons with his face on the cover (founder of Swing n Miss) and another man trying to profit some sort of coin for these empty moneybags he has. The founder of Band of Brothers is on this team so I won’t go too harsh and they also have Paul who is an alternate shot champion. I had the pleasure of watching the two Taffs play live on twitch and man I really wish I understood half of what Taff was trying to say when he gets pissed off at the game. It’s a good laugh and a lot of fun over there on his channel if you’d like to check it out.
The Dementia Residents Golden Four led by my good drinking partner/friend Ronrun (longest putt 78.4ft) are honestly a bunch of good guys. If you ever need a drinking partner this is the group you’re looking for. A ton of laughs and good times to be had here. Keep an eye on Pistol Pete too because he can light it up from time to time.
Team 5 and L.E.A.K anchored the bottom of this week with their terrible play so I won’t mention much from these two groups other than the fact that Koopdaville led the LEAK(ing) faucet with some great play week 1 while the likes of myself and DigsB still struggle to find our new golf swings (don’t hold your breath). Waldini had the longest drive this week too with a 343.7 yard shot, I’m sure it wasn’t a red fast.

If I didnt triple bogey the last hole I'd of shot -10 round. Was on fire 2nd round. Gutted! Now am fully recovered from the jab time to step up now! Let's shake up the league and bake some teams! 👀🏌️♂️
