Ha ha ha š get in line Marco . Interesting thought there in regards to holding the controller. 99% swing with thumb š but u use the index finger . Have a spell using your thumb and turn the controller so your swinging across and not up & down . This game will not be the same with your gametag not on it mate You guys use your thumb. I been using my tongue for years now.

I am fairly confident in saying that if you give this razor time, you will eventually get it. I am no sure if those who are still struggling are with newly purchased controllers or something that may have been around the house for awhile. You need start by getting the tempo figured out. Don't worry about the shot result or your line or your swing percentage. I started off with an hour or so of slows, very slows straight out the box and got immediately irritated. Once i started swinging quickly as if i was hitting a stinger or partial swing the tempo started to be realized. "Oh, its THAT fast with the swing". You keep doing it over and over again gradually increasing the swing power and eventually you will get yourself dialed in. Once things are dialed over time you will not have to slam the stick forward as some of you may feel is needed now. Like many others if i get a bad result now....you can feel it and its on you.
Some pretty good reads on the sim stuff. I simply do not have time to dedicate to it. I am sure as a guess the putting is a pretty big attribute in the difficulty. The problem is there are true-sim guys or semi-sim guys and then there are it's video game golf and i want to to shoot mind-numbing scores to have fun. Personally....i love grinding out a -5 as much as I do a -14 when everything is clicking. I personally don't like to see -52 four rounder scores but it's video game golf which I think the larger audience seeks and rather enjoys more these kinds of results. I think this game has the tools to make this a more difficult game but either direction you go you end up alienating people in the process. This is why BoB has several settings "open" to play the game how you prefer to play the game. Its not perfect but its what we have to work with. I would love to see down the round green grids but with zero bead movement for the entire green or lets say a grind is only 9 boxes around the pin (or slightly larger). Remember back in the say when we all could hit only 260-270 standard off the tee? Now peeps are bombing it 330-340 standard. Curbing the Bryson DeChambeau driving skills back along with some changes to reading greens I think would go towards making more scores more realistic in some cases.

Changing my swing technique basically means starting from scratch. I won't be the player i was ever again and that's a change probably a little too severe. The only way i can avoid hitting black slows is a fairly slow backswing with a massive acceleration forward - call it the 'Matsuyama Method'. Tempo will still be on the slow side and will cost me about 20 to 30 yards with unpredictable outcomes regarding the direction of the shot because of the hard forward flick. Pitch and flop shots are borderline impossible not to hit with a black slow and don't even get me started on the short game. Made it to Elite using the stock and been stuck there ever since. Missing 4 out of 5 cuts is no fun though. When i switch to the Razer, i'm more in the neighborhood of CC-J, if even that. I'm stumped honestly. The vast majority switching to the Razer has pushed me out of competitiveness. It's unfortunate but nothing i can change without a complete overhaul of my playing style; and i don't feel neither ready nor willing to go there just for the sake of being competitive again in a game that tends to drive me batsh*t crazy. All i can do is to keep hanging in there, trying my best to compete with constant -15/16 on every course and hope the tempo gods show some mercy. Ironically enough, it's not even the random tempo on the stock which kills my scores; for the most part it's the putting that has turned into an utter sh*tshow and at the very least costs me 5 to 7 avoidable strokes each round. Harsh lipouts, inexplicable breaks and random power gushes out of the blue - it doesn't resemble golf, it's a lottery and not really enjoyable. I either push through the annoyance or call it quits and as of now, every single day i'm losing some of my patience with it which brings me closer to quitting. I just don't have the nerves for one step forward and two steps back anymore. But at the end of the day, it's our community that keeps me going and it's far too precious to lose. Changing my swing technique basically means starting from scratch. I won't be the player i was ever again and that's a change probably a little too severe. This is a totally different swing stock pad to razor....at least in the beginning. Push through it. I am not the player I was before the switch either. I was sh%$.....now I am awesome....j/k At the end of the day you will be no less of the player you were and the odds are you will be a better player down the road.

So, am I the last one using Stock controller now? I see all your guys scores and I have to admit, it kills me knowing that I have that controller but can't get on with it, thinking what might be if I just give it another shot and it somehow clicks. It's horrible feeling that you're being left behind when you see how far the people around your level have moved on with their game. With stock I feel that no matter how well I play, there's always those shots that can happen out of the blue that destroy the hole you are on and that then sits with me in the back of my mind and affects the rest of the round. Just go with it. Just calibrate it and don't worry about perfects. If it's on perfect slow or perfect fast you are fine. Once you realize your plane tendency left or right play it. I know everyone says you need the calibrate to use the razer , I use default calibration for the razer on Xbox and I hit way more perfects than I ever have on this game and I mean a hell of a lot on Xbox. Wish I never calibrated on PC as my frequent shot is just fast of perfect. I think the default calibration works great with the razer, I certainly won't be messing with calibration.

TST had 67 people finish the last event.Ā 61 the week before.Ā 59 the week before that.Ā I remember when well over 100 people played TST and there was talk about if they needed a 2nd tour.Ā Not so much anymore.Ā If you can't get people to play TST with their "non-sim" settings, I don't see how "real sim" settings or legend difficulty would ever be in high demand.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā It was more related to what I kind of perceive as a general apathy towards the gameplay in general when dropping into streams and chatting to people about the game, and looking at the trouble the site is having with donations. I think introducing more of a challenge and going a bit more grounded would breathe new life into it even if it was in a more streamlined form. As I say though I could be totally wrong. I think there's an incompatibility with a site that needs to have broad appeal and trying to grow a more grounded experience which - to me, weirdly, remains quite niche. But eh, I've rolled the dice a fair bit on it and I'll just try and encourage people to try out those settings on twitter and twitch. Playing Neil tonight on Royal Portrush for a bit of a preview for this week's course on Simulation Tour. We doing 18 holes Neil? Just so I know if I need to book the rest of the week off, or just tomorrow and Thursday if we're doing 9... I have checked my messages but I can't find the invite you guys sent me and the tee off time š

And Dave the Diver whenever that decides to come out on console. Enjoy your golf gents, see you on the other sideā¦ whenever that may be

Nah mate, same story here - post could have been written by me because i feel exactly the same. Tried the Razer again today playing Big Money and black slows galore once more; can't seem to push the stick forward fast enough. Even after calibrating 10 times now, it doesn't work for me at all. To be perfectly honest, feels like i'm in the middle of nowhere with no chance of competing which kills almost all the enjoyment and i'm getting closer and closer to being done with the game until further notice. Just speedgolfed my way to a -4 second round in Elite and another missed cut. Hand me the STB award now. Get in line Marco š Get in line Ross. Itās Demonās all day long for his wet fart of performance at the openā¦.Iām just making him sweat.

But honestly it's a great controller on all games. Not really. Read up on this pad for esports pro. Awful for fighters.. correct as it doesnt work for street fighter 6 or mk11. Fifa is a no for pros. GT AND FORZA big yes for the pad as pros use it for pro events if they have to steering wheel!
