Putting my hand up for a second STB award. Was having my best Platinum event ever until hole 17 round 3. Went down the hill and instead of going back to the tee, I attempted to play it from the bottom of the hill and....STB put me down for a wiped hole. By the way, love the conversation going on here.

That's harsh Ross, unlucky mate. I saw your -16 in round 1. I did ok but got robbed on so many eagle putts just hanging or burning the edge of the hole. Someone will shoot -65 if they can get their eagles falling.

So, am I the last one using Stock controller now?
I see all your guys scores and I have to admit, it kills me knowing that I have that controller but can't get on with it, thinking what might be if I just give it another shot and it somehow clicks. It's horrible feeling that you're being left behind when you see how far the people around your level have moved on with their game. With stock I feel that no matter how well I play, there's always those shots that can happen out of the blue that destroy the hole you are on and that then sits with me in the back of my mind and affects the rest of the round.

I think you need to persevere with the wolverine, Iβm not saying that itβs right for everyone but if it gets rid of those shots that come out of nowhere like the duck hook into water or the wild slice that goes the other way. I still get slight slows or slight fasts but Iβve found out what my tendencies are and play for it with the wolverine. When I first played the wolverine I had 90% slight slows so I played for them or I pulled back the aim marker to move my tempo point to the left and into the perfect zone. Now I get both slight fasts or slight slows my tendency is more towards a fast so I aim right of the flag. Practice ground and hitting balls and recording your hits is the way to find out your common tendencies not on the course. Edit: your never going to get the perfect striking round with this controller on Xbox but itβs a whole lot better than you will get with the original Xbox wireless as regards to consistency.

Nah mate, same story here - post could have been written by me because i feel exactly the same. Tried the Razer again today playing Big Money and black slows galore once more; can't seem to push the stick forward fast enough. Even after calibrating 10 times now, it doesn't work for me at all. To be perfectly honest, feels like i'm in the middle of nowhere with no chance of competing which kills almost all the enjoyment and i'm getting closer and closer to being done with the game until further notice. Just speedgolfed my way to a -4 second round in Elite and another missed cut. Hand me the STB award now.

Tbh I have always preferred a faster swing so the Razer controller really suits my preferred tempo so not a huge difference from changing from a PS controller. Been a long time now since I have use a XBox official controller in the game but it was a struggle even on PC. At first I really struggled with that swing plane but have found a faster backswing then forward swing really helps with that massively. I haven't touched calibration since I got my Xbox a few weeks ago as it is the perfect tempo for me. Would you ever consider changing the way you hold the controller and swing. You do need a pretty fast downswing speed with the Razer but I am sure you'd adjust, be a shame to see you stop playing the game.

Have a spell using your thumb and turn the controller so your swinging across and not up & down . This game will not be the same with your gametag not on it mate

I did go back to the Dual Sense 5 for a bit but thought I have to give it another go, so persevered. I have had to change my swinge method but it has worked wonders for my swing lines. Also a think swinging back faster can help generate a faster downswing.Hitting the plastic harder back and front with the thumbstick can really help this. I alway use this method for putting anyway.

Hmm π€ That's exactly what I do Mr Fredricksen helps keep a straight line . Basically the Y button is in position of the B button and I really grip the controller with my right hand the wire rests on my grove right thumb on the home button . Not pressing it obviously. Give it a bash works for me .
