Was obviously very happy to get such a great country and I don't plan on wasting the opportunity to create an atmosphere that befits such a beautiful part of the world. I built two plots: Plot 1 - Built one by the ocean in the highlands theme and wanted shallow streams running into the ocean. Built the plot with my own mountains to block out the bare highlands mountains and was happy with how it looked. Problem was it started to feel like I was copying Strathlorne given the theme and the look so I had no intention on competing with that even if the planting scheme would be completely different. Plot 2 - Went further inland at the foothills of the Andes. I really wanted those epic looking alps in the background but in my research of Argentina there was very little number of pines in their mountain ranges. So I've raised the plot a few hundred feet and built my own mountains to block the view of any background pines. Will mean I have to hand plant everything but I'm pretty sure it will be fine. Did some study on their native plants and also the planting of golf courses throughout Argentina and fortunately I really like that they have quite a lot of mesquites and palo verdes which work well together and provide a lot of much needed colour. Anyway clearly went with plot 2 and have now fully routed and scultped the whole course and planted about half. Here's one finished hole so far however it doesn't have the alps in the background like most of the holes do. This is the 6th green overlooking the short 4, 7th hole which is nearly finished - Might still change the textures but will share more stuff once I have some.

I'm 95% done so may as well share some images. I'll just share the detailed inspirations, etc once published. Basically this course is a swiss theme at the foothills of the Andes but with their native plants instead of Swiss pines...... 18th Tee - Much of the course was inspired by a resort course in Argentina so my clubhouse went the same way. All the obvious requirements here in this image - pro shop, clubhouse/accom, tennis, pool up the back, practice short game area, driving range off to the right etc. Decided to build a tourist lookout in the mountain above a few holes.... 10th Tee Lookout 9th Green Lookout Just some playtesting and a few tweaks to go now but I had a lot of fun with this. EDIT - Rio Villegas is open for business . Opening the publishing window early VctryLnSprts ? Quick little promo -

Already done?? My goodness man you are cranking them out!
Congrats on being done early, I wish I didn't have a looming cloud of planting over my head...
