Welcome to
Hello guys,
This is my new course called the Dunes at Crimson Cove. It is a better rendition of what I was trying to make when I designed Scarlet Dunes Golf Club, so hopefully you guys like it. The par 72 layout is created in the Delta theme and plays 7,678 yards from the back tees. The holes snake their way through sand covered dunes with native grasses and planting throughout.
Please go give it a play and let me know what you guys think. I love the feedback as I am new to this and and trying to improve with each of my course releases. Thank you all and enjoy!
***Course created on Playstation 5 ***
HOLE #1
Par 5 - 592 Yards
This hole is a nice opener par 5 to start with. The hole doglegs to the left with a green that sits tucked between the dunes and is guarded by a trio of bunkers.
HOLE #2
Par 4 - 470 Yards
This hole's length says 470 but with the angles you can take it can play much shorter. The dogleg right greets you with a fairly significant uphill approach shot with green site resting above a bunker.
HOLE #3
Par 3 - 178 Yards
The course's first par 3 starts off with a slight downhill hole with two bunkers on either side of the green. One protecting short left, and the other long right. A waterfall crests over the far left side of the hole into the ocean.
HOLE #4
Par 4 - 462 Yards
The next hole is a dogleg right par 4 that starts with a blind tee shot that must cover a set of large waste bunkers. The approach into the green also features a carry over another waste bunker, with a very sloped green and tight hole locations.
HOLE #5
Par 4 - 448 Yards
Hole #5 is a dogleg left featuring a small lake to the left side of the landing area and the green. Although you may only have a wedge into this fairly short hole, the green is the smallest on the course and requires a precise approach to each hole location.
HOLE #6
Par 3 - 236 Yards
The longest par 3 of Crimson Dunes comes at the sixth. Playing as much as 250 yards from the back pin location, this hole features a long green with run offs on either side. A accurate long iron or fairway wood is needed to have a chance at a birdie butt.
HOLE #7
Par 4 - 458 Yards
Hole 7 is a dogleg left par 4 that has a fairly easy tee shot wrapping around the dunes. The more right you go the longer the approach into the green is but if you take on the dunes on the left you can leave yourself with a wedge into the raised green.
HOLE #8
Par 4 - 508 Yards
The longest par 4 on the course comes here at the eighth hole. It states 508 yards but cutting the corner with a brave shot over the dunes can shorten the hole. The approach shot may be one of the hardest on the course with a slightly raise green that has a deep bunker short and slightly right off the green.
HOLE #9
Par 5 - 575 Yards
Hole nine is the second par 5 that runs uphill and features a fairly stress-free tee shot. The approach shot into the raised green features a pond to the left of the green that can come into play is your ball finds the wrong side of a large mound to the left of the green. A pair of bunkers also guard the right side of the green.
HOLE #10
Par 4 - 476 Yards
The tenth hole is was built between dunes that run the length of the hole with a pair of bunkers on either side of the landing area. The approach into the raised green features a large run-off on the back side of the green that is also protected by a deep bunker on the left.
HOLE #11
Par 4 - 317 Yards
Oh don't we all love a drivable risk/reward par 4? Well that's what the eleventh is for you. The tee shot can either be a long irons into the wide landing area that has one bunker on each side, or you can take driver at the raised green. The green has another familiar run-off to the left side. Depending on the wind and pin location, the ocean may come into play.
HOLE #12
Par 3 - 188 Yards
The twelfth hole is the first of the par 3's on the back nine. The hole features water on both sides on this protective green with a waterfall in the backdrop. No matter the wind and the pin location, this hole requires the correct club choice to get anywhere close to the pin.
HOLE #13
Par 4 - 483 Yards
***Disclaimer: I don't know if people will notice, but had a large waste bunker before the fairway begins to fill the open space, but unfortunately I ran out of plant meter, so I couldn't plant the bunker so I took it out. Hopefully it is ok without it ***
Hole thirteen is a dogleg left par 4 that doesn't play as long as it states on the card. A well placed right to left ball flight will shorten this hole if you can dodge the two center lined bunkers. The sloped green features protection from both side highlighted by a pair on deep bunkers short right of the green.
HOLE #14
Par 5 - 555 Yards
The shortest and most reachable of the par 5's comes here at the fourteenth. The downhill hole in placed against the cliffs edge and along another dunes on the left side. The approach into this par 5 if protected by a pair on bunkers short and left, along with a run-off to the back right of the green.
HOLE #15
Par 3 - 179 Yards
The last of the course's par 3's is the fifteenth hole. This par three requires an accurately placed tee shot over water to a green with a large false front. Any approach shot short and left with find the run-offs on each part on the green complex.
HOLE #16
Par 4 - 459 Yards
This slight dogleg right offers a generous tee shot with a bunker carved against the dunes to the left. The approach shot goes up to a raised green with two bunkers short of the green. Don't get too long and aggressive with the approach, or your shot may find the lake behind the green.
HOLE #17
Par 4 - 493 Yards
The last par 4 on the course may also be one of the most difficult. The tee shot requires an accurate drive that avoids a small dune that is in the middle of the landing zone. The uphill approach into the green must have the proper distance control, because any short shot will surely run back off the green leaving a tough uphill pitch.
HOLE #18
Par 5 - 601 Yards
The last and final hole of the Dunes at Crimson Cove is the longest hole on the course. This par 5 features an open tee shot that is inviting to players. The approach shot however has many things in play. The lake from hole #16 is back in play and with gather any left missed shots. The green is guarded by a small pot bunker short and another on each side on the green.
THANK YOU ALL FOR PLAYING AND I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE COURSE!
