That clubhouse makes me very happy - it looks like Woking (assuming that was the inspiration?). I've been to Woking and that clubhouse looks so similar. Really looking forward to playing this one!

Oh yeah, Surrey/Hampshire heathland vibes all the way from those pics (even if you’ve set it further north). Look forward to giving this one a go.

You say 'inspiration', I say 'direct copy' Not been lucky enough to play Woking but it's on my long list to get to in the next couple of years.

Greens are phenomenal - the third there looks like it had a minivan buried underneath it. Again, course looks great!

Really enjoyed this playing this one today. Thought it was a big step up from your rookie course (which wasn't half bad either!) and got all of those great heathland vibes. One of those nice, comfortable/comforting rounds where it just all feels very familiar. Great job.

Great course, really well done with the subtle planting.

OOOh.....delicious! I really like this, just captured the whole heathland environment here perfectly. Must of been a tough choice to bury all that "heather", must of taken an eternity, but it was well worth the effort. Also love how the sun dips in and out of the clouds, although i'm not from that area, this is what I would think a golf day on a heathland course would be like! Well done!

Great course, really well done with the subtle planting. Thanks for the playthrough Danny. I can’t get over the level of skill you true-sim players have. Shooting under par around there with no assists and into that evil wind direction is just crazy good. Never thought about the TST guys when designing and making the lighting choices. Will definitely factor it in for the next one - just never even occurred to me! Thanks again

Thanks again No worries, the good TS players can still get some read with dark lighting but I have not reached that level its still a fun course to play and was happy with my score.

Thanks Scott - that’s quite the compliment coming from the designer of my favourite heathland on here! Hope you’ve got something else in the works? Don’t think I’ve missed anything since Ryland came out?

I gave this a playthrough this morning and thoroughly enjoyed my round. Great job! I've been very busy with work the last few weeks so I have struggled to keep up with the world cup.
I totally hear you regarding how to get an authentic heather look as there is nothing in the designer that totally nails it - I'm a strong believer that the mind does a very good job with filling in gaps
Anyway, I found an ideal location in Holland to base my NT course on and I've started a course with a heath feel too. As you might know, I live litterally a stones throw away from Alwoodley, and last week we decided that once my kids finish nursey/school this week I plan on taking (forcing?) the family to the course for further inspiration!
Very odd conincidence. Good luck in the competition.
