Wow, that's pretty legit man! I have been there twice a long time ago but might actually be setting up a quick trip later this year. Hope you enjoyed your round and the clubhouse too. I’ve never been! 😭😭 haha but been to the one FLW house here in Oregon. I have arch nerdy tattoos of Falling Water, Farnsworth House and the Sydney Oprah House and have a planned one for Gaudí If I do end up getting there this year, I'll try and drop you some photos. I'm also thinking who FLW and Guadi would be as golf course architects haha... I'm thinking Wright would be more like a Gil Hanse and Gaudi would be more of a Mike Strantz (I don't know a ton about Gaudi though)

What a great course you have created Sir, love the colors and the subtle planting. Course plays great too, GL in the contest.. Hey there, thanks a lot for the playthrough and the post! It was awesome watching you play without aids and it looked like you were really thinking your way around which was fun to see. I appreciate the positive comments and will be watching some of your other videos of WCoD playthroughs as well.

But it's an idea for the future. If I would have gotten Spain for NT I may have tried it.

I mean, it's alright, I guess. Great course buddy and should be a contender. So much subtle stuff here that I'm sure I didn't pick up on first time around. Will get you some hole by holes once I've played more pinsets in return for your kind comments. Thanks Ben, obviously very interested in your more specific feedback. I'm glad to hear you picked up on the subtleties out there as I actually focused on those more than anything else. Yep, got a couple more pinsets to play then plan to give you a hole by hole summary 🙂

Just a blast, Adam. Owed you a write-up in return, so here you go.
General thoughts: Love the greens as ever and the way they dictate things all the way back to the tee. Course just gets better with each play, which is one of the things I look for the most in a design. Really cool use of the steppe theme and I’m glad you went with this one. 1. Good looking opening tee shot, subtle and understated, which fits the course nicely. Subtle mounding around the green is great. 2. Love the way the green shape matters all the way back to the tee. 3. Classic Grovey saddle green. Love these. The way the planting sneaks into the bunker on the left is great. 4. This one could be straight out of a sandbelt course with the bunker placement (the right hand fairway bunker is perfect!) and green angle. Middle plateau is great and I love how it influences other pins. 5. Fun little driveable hole, definitely a birdie opportunity but could easily see a bogey here if you flip-flop. 6. Maintenance area integration is awesome. That TINY little sliver of fairway apron short right of the green and just over the bunker is also perfect and so damn tempting. I love par threes where you provide multiple options for getting at a pin. 7. Sightline is A1 and this is another sandbelt inspired hole. Love the mound front right that gives me a glimmer of hope of working an eagle putt. 8. Not the pin I’m playing, but the little spine at the back of the green is burned into my memory from another round haha. Bunkers in front of the little semi-punchbowl work so nicely and encourage that left hand play off the tee. 9. Really cool take on a hogsback and the green is great as ever. Always loved this sort of reverse camber hole you do - more big time sandbelt vibes, here. 10. Stupid good views over the plot from this green. Great short hole and works nicely. 11. Love the planting areas starting to encroach on the fairway. That tiny bunker has me laughing because I am certain it’s perfectly placed. The combination of those three bunkers, plus the mound for pin 4 is just beautiful. The green is so nicely draped over the contours as well – love it. 12. Another great look off the tee and another class par five. 13. My sort of hole. Long, cleverly placed bunkers and a spine that all work in harmony. The amount of fun slopes around pin 4 is great and the swale if you go a bit long makes you think about distance control whilst pushing the less architecturally-aware to play the ground game. 14. Love tee shot, love approach. Green contours again are great. 15. Good long three - works well for variety and I like the way you integrate a kicker slope to the back right pins. It’s also well-placed at the end of an easier run of holes. 16. I could play this hole all day. Great green and love the myriad slopes around the various pins. So many mini punchbowls! 17. Another really fun short four and the narrow, straight-on green works really well compared to the other short fours you’ve had – the variety has been excellent. 18. This green is a perfect closer. So much going on and I love greens where each pin is in its own little environment whilst still being part of the whole. Double centreline bunker + camber is my bag, too.
Bags of fun. Will be back many more times and hope this gets a tour stop soon.

Saw the comments about your course the other day… finally got round to having a round. Really nice!… very bold to go so open but plays superbly.. will definitely be heading back here from time to time. Here’s proof that the sculpting was spot on 😉 good luck in the contest

As always I love the super integrated routing where all angles are considered. The low profile environment is beautifully executed.. Your courses are always ones that I wish I could play as a member. They are not overly penal yet filled with so much interest on every shot. Really great work. Thanks Rob, I always appreciate your feedback and your comment about being a member of the course is one of my favorites. I remember you said that about The Kingdom as well. Glad you picked up on the subtleties here and I'm curious which features or holes caught your eye the most? Hole by Hey Adam, have been meaning to get back to this for another round and thought I'd provide some more detailed feedback Hole by Hole: 1. The right ot left pitch of the green really drives the play into this one. subtle move big impact 2. Great how the green complex sets up for two different approaches from either side of the centerline bunker 3. really liking how the pitch of greens is sublte but really makes you think about working your ball off the slopes 4. tough hole espcially with the front pin. really need to keep the drive right to go it. This green has so many fun locations. 5. love this hole. donald ross green very approriate move. lots of fairway around but you need to be on the correct side. Great simple complexity 7. Really great look on this one. really challenging approach. you really have to flirt with the bunkers to hold the front of the green. Lots of intersting angles of approach to different pins 8. Once again super fun approach where you have to just clear the fronting bunkers to bounce it up there. love those two bunkers set back and the uncluttered green complex. 9. great tee shot. love the incoporation of the ridge here 10. Still lots of movement in the green to think about. tough angle to dial it in 11. Love this one. The 3 bunkers are so well placed. Also like the kicker slope in the fairway on the left to skirt around the bunkers. 12. Nice uncluttered hole with a fun green. 13. So good. love that hump in front of the green as well as the fall aways at the back. Angle is key on this one. froint right is a good one. you have to play right off the tee and then hit a bloind second to avoid the hump on the apporach. Very St Andrews 14. that hump on the left side of the green is great. really drives the approach. Once again just really nice how nothing about your layouts seem overly forced or contrived. so much 'perceived' breathing room until you see how the green impacts your approach 15. super fun long 3. love the sweeping green on this 16. really like the anlge of green on this 17.Another super fun short 4 love the back pin location between the two hillocks 18. Strong finisher once again punshing the misplaced drive at thre green. I alomst like putting my slef out of position on your course just to see what happens. Overall I always love your loose approach to routing, there so much room on your courses to explore and not feel like you are being funneled and forced into hitting certain shots. Its a course that requires careful consideration to score but doesn't overly punish if the hole is not navigated in the proper way. The atmosphere is fantastic as always, and most importantly the course is fused with the environment, which is tough to do and I always appreciate. Awesome work Adam.

Because we all love a bump from the dead. Great course buddy. Been meaning to give this one another play for a while and I'm glad I did - it's only when you really start to strategise that all the angles and subtlety shows. The environment is low key awesome too. Some of the bunkering looks so good up close too - great job!
