BTW Hole 9 was a pretty standard narrows Par 5. Last night at midnight I blew up the second shot wanting to figure out how to make it more interesting. Now it may the favorite hole I've ever designed. The second shot is reall one to ponder, and I feel makes you want to rethink the first shot when you're thinking about it while also trying to position the third shot.

Ok took a little break fr DL 2.2 and to finish my Designer Syndicate course. But back on the grind! Hole 10: This long Par 5 presents a question off the tee. Hit to the visable and wide open area but for a potentionally blocked view approach, or hit to the area blind from the tee box with a visible approach shot. The Green has a bit of a punch bowl but offers it's own challange with it's dramatic drop off on the right. Hole 11: This is the longest Par 3 on the course and it loks rather simple with the lack of bunkers but still offers come challange with the dip in the green and run offs to avoid. Properdostance control and accurcy can lead to a birdy opportunity but misreading the undulatons can make a par difficult. Hole 12: This short Par 4 is quite a pleathera of options. Theres layup options for any club, but options as well for thoser that can carry the burraca for driver. Just pay attention to the green undulations and pin position because some areas that hit with the highest clubs may NOT be the best to end up in. 'm batteling shadows for these three holes, not sure if I can do anything about it but I'll experiement. ALso the whole left side is not completed.

Alright 3 holes down. Three holes to go. Then it will be finish planting in surrounding area and playtest a bunch. Big thing I have to figure out is how much OB to go with (teaser, it probably will be a lot) Hole 13: Long downhill Par 5. RIght side of the ridge is a tighter window to land but the camber rolls you a bit closre to the green, left side if you successfully navigate the pesky bunker gives a good option for the front tip pin or the wide layup area. This green is just out of 3 wood distance but 30 feet down (with no wind I smack it right in the front bunker every time). The Green is a inviting punchbowl leaving the golfer trying to decide if they hercules a 3 wood and risk hitting in all the danger around for a probably good eagle opportunity or aim to the front left layup area and go for a pitch to try and get birdie. Hole 14: Short Valcano style Par 3 and the last one on the course is a stunner overlooking the coast line beyond. The green itself mimics it's valcano site with a cross shape of purpedicular ridges meaking accuracy a premium for this short tee shot. Surrounded by deep bunkers, a very low run off area in the back and OB surounded those missing this green could be a 2 stroke swing from possible birdie to p[robably bogie. Hole 15: A shorter Par 5 With a wide open landing zone but picking where to land wisely could pay dividends on the second shot to the green site raised 50' feet above. Right you deal with the dual fairway bunkers but have a rather flat raised lie. While left fairway can roll a bit further and usually leads to a slopped lie, and too left can roll into OB death. The green site is a slopped down skinny green with a trecherous front bunker that really comes in play for those that decided to go left on their drive. The play is smack the ball inot the hill on the right side of the green a little above pin high and let the ball rolll right leading to hopefully a short Eagle putt. But bewhare the bunker atop the hill as well catching those too zealous. THe furthest Back pin can bring the OB in the back if you come in too hot.

Last update before publishing (whcih is probably a couple weeks away) Hole 16: A take on a cape hole with this mid length Par 4 tiered fairway where depending on where the pin is you decide what side of the fairway to hit to, then also decide how much of the fairway do you wish to chew off with the drive. Hole 17: This drivable Par 4 Is the ultimate risk reward. If you're going for it you got to hit to the proper side of the ridge running along the center of green and with enough distance control to not roll off into the OB surrounding the green. If you chose to layup There are many options but figuring out which option is best for the pin is key to a birdie. Hole 18: For the final hole off the tee a choice of hitting to the wider/safer left side that will leave an uneven lie and a more sifficult attempt at the green on shot two while the lower skinner right side is surrounded by the centerline bunker, front burance and OB on the right but with it's dropped elevation elaves you closer for an easier aprpoach to this green. The green is tierd purpendiculkar to the right angle meaning you have a backstop while on the left you need to ride the ridges with precision to not roll off into the dangerous shared bunker below or down the slope to the 9th shared green. The left approach also has to deal with a lot of danger along the left end that can easily turn a promising birdie hole into a doube par. As I mentioned publish is probably two weeks out, mostly because I will be out of town late this week. I still have a big chunk of off course planting rom the course down to the beach below (you can see the area left of 18, right odf 9, behind Holes 8/14/17 in the pictures. Also I need to throw my guy all over in the burrancas to figure out where should be OB (there's going to be a lot) and where is able to get out of fairly. Also I need to make my logo and do a similar hole by hole thing as I did for Infinity Mountain. I think I will do my music and designing stream this Wednesday night (PST) and play testing my course so feel free to pop by and see more sneak peeks!
