Having hidden for most of the WC contest, it'll be nice to share more for this one. I was delighted with the draw and honestly, Morocco would have been in my top three if I could have picked anywhere from the list of countries we got and potentially number one. The more I've looked into it over the last week, the better it's become - the country is stunning and there's so much to draw from. Could go Delta from the Atlantic coast, Swiss from the High Atlas mountains, Steppe/Desert for the dunes etc. So much so that the challenge is getting those ideas to fit, but I think we have a way and it should be novel, if nothing else. So, here's some of the inspiration images - the main feature of the course will be the river, based on the jawdropping Draa Valley, but I'm also planning to work in some denser woodland, almost jungle elements to draw from Michlifen, a town backdrop, based on Ouarzazate and we'll have bunkering and natural waste areas based on a really cool course in Tazegzout. Lots of fun ahead, I think. Draa river: Town area: Michlifen (woodland): Tazegzout (bunkering/natural waste):

He'll probably build some out of fence posts, the little nerd.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Lived in Mohammedia, just north of Casablanca for a couple of years at the turn of the millenium. Royal Dar Es Salam in Rabat is an absolutely fabulous course and is the best I've ever played on in real life. Always meant to re-create it in the game but unfortunately my desire to play the game is non-existent these days.
Hope your course turns out to be as good as your back catalogue

Rick's Cafe might make a nice halfway house... Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world....she walks into mine.

I've already decided this course is an instant failure if it doesn't include a gin joint, 15 camels and at least one illegal hookah.

Well, at least I'm starting to feel like I'm making some headway and may not delete this. Steppe and I do not get along.

You can make it a bit redder but you have to basically turn it rocky by scarring the land which isn’t what I’m after, or putting pinestraw everywhere which would play and look terrible! This is also the darkest bunker texture we have - I would love something a deeper brown still. I’m confident I’ll get the look down though, in spite of the limitations.
