Hey everyone! My name is Brandon and I’m a 42 yr old firefighter. I used to play all the Tiger Woods golf games but haven’t played one since The Masters Edition. A co-worker had me play this game one day and I instantly fell in love. I’ve been playing on Pro level for a couple months and have tried to qualify for a couple tournaments through the qualifying rounds. Unfortunately, my game isn’t at the level I had believed, and I’ve struggled on the TGC Tour so far. I have yet to record a full round under par, but this week I’ve at the Vandalay Industries I’ve shot a +1 and a +2, but shot a +9 in the second round to derail me.

Finally....scored well enough in the Vandalay Industries Cup to earn a tour card! I nervously awaited the updates Sunday until I was finally able to see the red league assignments on the score board. As I scrolled down through the leaders I became even more nervous when I seen that I had made the CC-J tour. I’m not sure my game is good enough to play on the CC-L tour, so I’m really nervous about the J tour. Hopefully I progress well enough to stay above the cut line. Since I have yet to score around under par I have no crazy aspirations of fighting for a tournament win...at least not yet. Here’s to a good round this week at Knob’s Creek. See you on the range!

After waiting to get 2K23 until it was basically a steal, I’m back! Of course the first thing I wanted to do was sign up for the tour again. First week qualifying and didn’t too so hot. Not sure how many(if any) cards are given out this week, but since I’m sitting 40-something after 2 rounds I’m not counting on this week…ill try to get a head start on next week.

Below are my stats from qualifying at the Scottsdale Desert Open. I finished the week at +11, but that looks to be enough to let me qualify for a spot on the tour. I felt that off the tee I played pretty well; however my approach and short game need tons of work. I'm not going to score very well when my approach shots are landing and average of 33.2 yards from the hole. Also, I have to avoid 3 putting, and stop missing under 5 feet. Looks like I have a lot to work on this week before the Carolina Classic at Chattanooga Muni. Wasn't my best, but it was good enough. After posting an abysmal 11 over in the Scottsdale Desert Open, I was prepared for another week of qualifying. However, that was score was a couple strokes good enough to get me a spot on the CC-L tour. So this week, I'll be teeing it up in the Carolina Classic at Chattanooga Muni. I can't wait to improve my game and hopefully climb the CC league ladder and the World Rankings.
