A free Saturday so I thought I'd have a few practice rounds for this week's tourney first go ou on the course and I shot a -13 so no more practice, just go for it! Round 1 was like playing a different course. Only -1 at the turn I already I feared a missed cut, but I scrambled to -5 after a chip in eagle on 18. Round 2 was much better - pars and birdies through 9. I watched a ghost player hit a hole in one on 12, then proceeded to follow it with one of my own! Finished at -12 for the round, my best ever single round score on TGCT. Round 3 was uneventful, a couple of 93% shots cost me and a few shaved putts meant I finished with -5 for -22. My final round was round steady. I made the putts I missed in the 3rd round and a couple of chip ins too, to finish with -10 for a total of -32, my lowest four round score ever. All in all I'm very happy, but I predict at least -40 will be needed to win, and my 1st and 3rd rounds may have cost my a chance of top 10.

Rounds were going fairly well until the final round. Started getting 90% shots on every hole, ball squinting all over the place off the tee and to top it all off, my ball got stuck in rocks forcing me to take a max score. Turned it off at that point

After a first round 60 I actually thought with three more good rounds I might have a shot at winning this one. However, a 7 on a par 3 on the front nine cost me a 65, and now I am out of the running. I have only played two rounds because I was furious about the 7 and so I will get some more in later!

I have only played two rounds because I was furious about the 7 and so I will get some more in later! I just completed my first two rounds at the El Bosque Mexico Championship and to be honest you are only 2 back (-19) of the overall XB1 leader. With a phenomenal 3rd and 4th round could put you in contention. As for me, Round 1 I opened it up with 3 or 4 straight birdies going into the first long par 3. Wasn't paying attention and caught a 5 wood at 95% to find myself in the water, having to recover for a double. I managed to get back on track and after only 1 more bogey I shot a 62 (-10). Round 2 opened up with 2 straight birdies before going cold until hole #8 or 9. I was about 140 out and put it in for eagle on my second shot to get me back on track. With a bogey free second round I managed a 61 (-11). -21 going into the weekend. (Tied for 1st on XB1)

So I decided I'd hit a few practice rounds this morning before going for at least the 1st actual round. Winds were kind of high but still getting -10/-11 on them. So thought to myself ok got a hold on it with high(ish) winds lets go...Finished the 1st round with a 67 (-5), kind of annoyed me a bit so knocked it off for a while. Decided what the hell I'll go for the 2nd round, with a quick practice before, the winds had calmed right down, and I finished that with a 64 (-8). Said to myself just go for it while the winds are good and my score seems to be improving. Finished the 3rd with a 60 (-12), couldn't believe it and was thinking, do that again could get a nice high placing. 4th round decided to kick me where it hurts lol, Finished it with a 66 (-6) giving me a final score of -31. Should be still good (I hope anyway) for a nice high placing (and probably my best placing yet) but I missed a few putts that I should really have gotten. Just not paying full attention reading the greens so only myself to blame. But I have to say, one thing that has really helped knock strokes off my scores the last week or so is the "golf lessons" section you can find at the bottom of the home page of tgctours.com, it's really helped me get a lot of my approach shots closer to the pins. For anyone who is having trouble getting good approach shots regularly I highly suggest checking it out. Gives you all the yardages for each club, loft of each club and shot type. Also scenarios of different conditions and the best way to work out your shots for a good approach. Anyway that's enough of me going on and on (zzzz) lol. Good luck to everyone in this weeks tournament. I'll be keeping an eye on the leaderboard as each round gets put up.

Finished both of my round to finish (-11) & (-9). Good enough for (-41) and 2nd on the XB1 leaderboards. Kind of a disappointing final round as I started off about as cold as you can get and then heated up mid-round. Congrats to Sigmike02, you finally put together all 4 rounds and I think you're going to take this championship at (-48). I'd be shocked if you weren't at or near the top.

I ended up finishing 64-64 to add on to the 60-65. Not my best finish but I have been performing well at Gewella so hopefully I can get a top-10 next week!

My first event on tgc tours and it was a lot of fun. Not a great start to my career but a solid one with rounds of 68-70-73-66. I hope to make the 36 hole cut! Looking forward to many more tournaments.
I found that there were some really good hole locations on the last 5 holes especially.

AT FRIKKIN LAST!
I was finally able to translate decent scores in practice into solid tournament rounds.
Nice winds, max 6mph and some clean hitting and (somewhat surprisingly) some half-decent putting led to 62-60. Even though the wind was still benign I decided to leave it there - my game tends to drift after a couple of consecutive rounds and after duffing the tee shot into rough, overshooting the green and chipping in from 13 yards on the 1st, I decided not to press my luck any further on round 3.
If I can replicate that sort of scoring in the next 2 rounds I'd hopefully be challenging top 10 or thereabouts.

Hi there my first time on this forum , I had my scores removed last week because didn't show on leaderboard? Gutted because I was 2nd . Done all my rounds know I would appreciate if someone could confirm I'm showing on the leaderboard as I've completed all my rounds now. Foxycustard on ps4 scored -15/-12/-14/-10 so -51 in total ! I reLly hope I'm on this time as this is my best performance to date and I might be in contention for a win. Good luck everyone.

Definitely wasn't focused during the early part of the first round. I found myself +3 after 4 holes. I fought back to finish the round with a 5-under 67. I was none too pleased after having practice rounds averaging 10-under. I knew I needed to get my head in the game for the second round to make the cut and did so by shooting a 12-under 60 with a little help from my first TGCT ace:

Really struggled this week and looks like I might struggle to make the cut. On;y got myself to blame, couldn't concentrate and been putting like a pleb recently.
