The goal is to move as few people as possible, but it'd be sort of unfair to have groups of 10 and 5, and have 4 designers from each moving out of group stage. Essentially the biggest groups will have designers slide to the smallest groups, and I'll just start from the bottom of the list. If folks think there's a more equitable way to do this, I'm happy to hear what people suggest. |

OP is updated with the list of courses I have submitted so far. I'm still working on getting all of the playthroughs done, and will continue to update the post with those as I finish them. Looks like the groups (as of now) are relatively evenly distributed, so there shouldn't be a lot of movement necessary to get even group sizes. Currently we have groups of 7, 8, 7, 7, 9, and 6, which would just require 1 designer moved from group 5 to group 6. However, I'll revisit that once we get the final count in 22ish hours.

Lonely Island Club (LIC which is pronounced “Like” and not “Lick” as some might do) is published and available for your viewing, playing and critique pleasure. I'm including the following in my form and completed course thread, but want to include this for those playing it early. I included most of the elements from the list of elements and had a tough time narrowing it down to four. You'll find most of them represented, but the ones I want judged are: - A Shared green (2 holes using the same greensite) - there are quite a few of these, since it's a reversible plot
- At least one blind tee shot (given the plot and the fictional owners desires, the course was built with as minimal dirt moving as possible. Hence there are majestic high tees with full hole views and some low ones where blind tee shots are required)
- Entire course to be contained in square/rectangular 1,000,000 yard area. My measurements, which I'll have a picture of in my completed course thread, but I have it at approximately 1010 x 945
- At least five par 5 holes
Tees to be judged are Gold, but give the "Beefy Black" tees a round, if you have time. The course provides plenty of birdie holes, which you'll need to offset the possibility that the wind might turn a few par 4's into three shot ones.
I'm working on pictures and a completed course thread, which should be up later today. I'm also filling out the form, which should be done this afternoon.  |
