Fantastic design and a pleasure to play. Thought the front 9 was so good; the stretch from holes 4 to 9 was so solid and loved how you routed these with the land. 6 is an A+ par 4, as good as any I've played in game. Loved the subtle drama at the 7th tee & what you did with the sightline here. A very interesting, believable & cohesive creation that I'm very much looking forward to exploring some more. Well done ! Cheers from the bush

scootmcgoot meyo parttimejaffa Thanks for all the kind comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the round and made use of the facilities. I've heard the playground has a few safety issues

Been playing this in society.
Really enjoyed it - bit tough for me though. 😁

Cottyuk - This is a really nice alternate entry in the WCOD and I think will stand up against the field if it gets in. Your detail work on the teeing areas in incredible, love the look of the authentic curbs and the general feeling around each tee. I really felt like I was out there on a real course. The play area/swing set on 12 was really well done too . I didn't read anything on this course until I played and it did really jump out at me and was a very creative use of the course materials. Your par 3's were all really framed nicely and one of the strongest aspects of your design. My only piece of feedback is that on a few holes I think a bunker or two got away on you. I really like the general sculpting idea you were going for on those bunkers and I know how hard it is to keep it consistent all around. The rounded lips on the bunker edges look really nice but there were a few that created some weird looking lumps on the outside of the bunker. Not a huge deal at all, just a minor polish thing for future courses. Nice work and good luck with the contest, you've put in a lot of work here and hopefully it gets to pay off.

Lovely, lush and realistic looking parkland style course here, that plays very nicely too. We probably don't see enough of these parkland style designs unfortunately.
Would have loved to have seen that ditch/stream feature more prominently. (I believe the drivable 4 early doors is where it first showed up and was very much in play there of course...but on the 2 or 3 other holes I saw it, it was there but not really in play).
Wasn't overly keen on the 9th and 18th greens personally. I felt the enormous false fronts here would have worked and looked better as mostly fairway, with the green extending further out at the back instead. I thought a few of the hazards probably could have been placed more effectively too.
But I digress too much. I thought you did an excellent job with this all in all. Lovely course for a nice relaxing round of golf. I'm sure it could have given many of the main contenders a run for their money. (I guess it might yet!)

smudge22 -Thanks for giving it a play. I hope you enjoyed the rounds stubby3596 - Cheers for the play. We had a laugh about the creation of that playground, so cheers for noticing it and robn - Thank you sir. Humbled with the time people are spending playing and providing a critique of the course - all comments are very much welcomed and everything is beng noted. I really am very grateful. I don't expect to progress to the next stage, but my ambitions are only ever to enjoy getting creative with the designer.

Really enjoyed this course, one of my favorites I've played. This course is my favorite style of course, felt very much like a Golden Age architect designed it. The green complexes were exceptional, tough undulating greens, hilly fairways, deep bunkers, very well done sir!

Bump Really enjoyed my rounds on this, you've nailed that parkland look. Great job! (Also, I have the Netherlands too in National Treasure, as an alternate - so good luck in that too!)

Cottyuk - just got round to playing this but wanted to drop a quick note to say how great I thought it was. Really clean and natural and thought the environment had a real air of refinement to it (if that makes any sense at all). The bunkers were really nicely done as were the all the external elements and the teeing areas - really classy feel. Great work and good luck in the contest.

A bit behind on some of these WCoD play throughs, but thought I'd give it a play since it's the Plat course next week. Congrats on another solid publish.
