Practice Round ?

I’m on a PS4 and I like to do a practice round or two before my TGC tour round to get a feel of round conditions.

Example: after my drive I like to do a few approach shots from the same spot of fairway. I’ll hit the unplayable lie and instead of putting me back to the same spot it puts me closer to the hole and in a completely different area. How do I get back to the same spot of the fairway? I watch others on Twitch practice and do this and they will sometimes take 5 shots from the same spot. And they are on PC.

Is it only on PC that you can put it back at the same spot or can I do this with my PS4?

Picking unplayable in the game gives you (usually) 2 options - going back on line or returning to the spot you hit from.

The on-line option is the default though (if it is available) - so you then have to hit (on XBox controller) the right bumper (don't know if that is the same on PS controller) - that rotates between the two options.
