Peel Castle Golf Links by Scott Howard, on Flickr Peel Castle Golf Links, a fictional design set in the shadows of the 11th century Viking castle ruins and harbour village of Peel on the Isle of Man, will take you on a golf journey that sprawls across the Manx countryside. At just a tick over 7,000 yards from the tips, golfers will find the scoring opportunities abundant. The fairways throughout lack traditional definition and are instead decided by strategically placed hazards and each golfers own imagination. This flexibility to chose one's path creates many different approach angles that may or may not be beneficial when attacking the large and sometimes tricky greens. Although the invitation to spray your tee shot is clear, you will want to avoid visiting one of the depressed waste areas filled with rocks, brambles and fescue that are signature to the Peel Castle experience. After your round is complete, local lore believes it will bring you good luck and prosperity if you offer your ball as tribute to King Magnus Olafsson by tossing it into the water behind the 18th hole. Peel Castle by Scott Howard, on Flickr This was just sort of a passion project that started out as just trying to replicate a castle ruins and then turned into a course. Had a blast creating it, hope you enjoy and as always, feedback is appreciated!

Nice course. Some nutty greens and pin sites...battled back from a 7 early on to finish +2. Really have to play strategic when the winds are up and in your face.
