Introduction to my society, Grand Slam Golf
(now I am a little bit biased but it is the best society on the game!)
The society is a very competitive and challenging World Tour of Golf. It is a realistic pro tour schedule, but unlike the PGA tour the events are played on courses from all around the world. A season lasts for 1 month. In that month there are the 4 Major championships, a World championship series and regular tour events. We also host a Ryder Cup, a Matchplay league and we have our own Ranking system.
Here is an idea of how the schedule works:
Week 1 - Is based mainly in the US and some Pga tour events are in there. The Masters is the first Major at the end of the week.
Week 2 - Starts in Canada and then there is the Florida swing. The US Open is this weekends Major.
Week 3 - The European swing. Trips to Spain, France, Ireland, England and Wales. The Open championship rounds of the week.
Week 4 - We start with some international events and end with Firestone and The USPGA.
Week 5 - Is slightly shorter and visits Australia, Thailand, China and the season ends in the Desert of the Middle East with the World Championship Finals.
( Regular events are 2 rounds, Majors are 4 ).
The Difficulty is Master Swing and we currently have the Putt Meter ON. I set regular events up to be a challenge but scoreable and things get toughened up for the Majors (especially the US Open).
I use discord to keep records, stats, Rankings and organise Matchplay events, Including the Ryder Cup which is very popular. Also we have a great group of members on the discord and we are very welcoming! If you decide to join the Discord, the link is on the Message of the day on the society home page. Or if you message me on here I can send you the link.
I also implement two rules:
1. Any player who wins 3 consecutive events must sit out the next two. ( Majors not included).
2. No chipping on the greens. ( Same as TGC tour ).
So thats the basics of the Society, If you are interested then please check it out, You wont regret it!
Thanks for reading.
