How do you deal with putts that are seemingly straight (no break according to the grid) but end up breaking just enough to make the ball miss the hole by millimeters? I used to think this was a swing plane issue but I have had this happen to me on putts that I hit perfectly straight.

This is definitely the most annoying thing that happens in the game. Some of us like to call it the "phantom break". I have played all of the TGC games and now 2k and have still not found a solution to this!

I always thought is was just me being piss poor at reading the greens 😂 I didn’t know it’s actually a thing with these games

I feel ya guys! Someone posted about this previously and used a method whereby he activated the follow cam and got the view down to as low as he could, the scrolled forward toward the pin comparing the bottom of the screen with the grid lines to see if they were parallel. Any small tilt one way or another indicated a small break. It seems to work for me most of the time.

Sorry for the noob question, but do you happen to know how I can change the angle of that follow cam using keyboard/mouse? Cheers, Kevin

Cheers, Kevin Spacebar to get into follow camera mode, the left mouse button moving mouse up to get the camera low. You can either use the scroll wheel to move backward and forward, or use the W and S keys (I do that). If using the keys, you can switch clubs after you are done to get the original distance back. Good Luck Kev!

Good Luck Kev! Great, I will try it out tonight. I thought the scroll wheel is used to zoom, and the WASD keys are used to move around. I haven't thought of holding the mouse button for tilting. Thanks Mike!

If you need to make sure to hit laser straight, take a smaller swing with the control stick, maybe half way back, 1/4 forward
