Anybody interested in running a TGC Tours Madden Franchise League? Besides 2K, I love playing madden (sometimes). Would be cool to have a league with other people in this community.

I used to be a full on Madden fiend. I’ve played every Madden ever released. Except this year. I’ve soured big time on how they have ignored franchise mode that I saw no reason to get. I’m just playing Madden 20 all they way thru the 30 year chise on my own with cranked up sliders. I also ran an online 32 player league for 8 - 10 years that was based out of the old maddentips forums back in the day. Madden used to be my thing. It was such a blast with a core group of really cool people. If EA ever decided to truly make improvements to franchise mode and change direction on the silly arcade crap they keep adding to the gameplay, I’d consider playing in another online league. But for now, I can’t. Good luck though. If you get it going I hope you get a great group of owners!

I didn’t pick up 21. Sounds like I’m glad I didn’t.
I only ever play franchise. What did they do to it?

nevadaballin Yeah I totally get where you're coming from. I just started playing franchise last Madden so I didn't get to experience the earlier years prior. Personally I find it more fun drafting/building my team than anything. It just such a shame the only thing that changes from year to year are the rosters. Oscar C They just haven't done anything to it. Its been the same game over and over and over again. I still enjoy playing franchise with my friends, we do only have about 4 guys in the league so we mainly just destroy the cpu teams lol. But I think with the right set of rules in a bigger group we could make it fun and relaxed.

It’s been the same franchise mode ever since the PS3 version. You are good to go with M25, M18, M19 and M20 until you reach the 30 year end. Also, the stat compiler is broken. I typically run some very aggressive cover zero blitz schemes and get a ton of sacks (and give up some big plays too lol). The stat compiler stops counting sacks at 65 in a season. No idea why EA thinks there needs to be a limit on stat counting. I’m sure it applies in other stat categories for other positions as well. When I check league leaders for defense, my players with INTs do not show up. The game had had this issue for at least the last 4 releases. One of my biggest pet peeves is with the off field team AI for the computer teams and how it manages its depth charts and rosters. It does a horrible job of team building, drafting and managing the players. I am grateful for the people who have taken the time to edit draft classes then upload them to the locker. I downloaded the classes for 2020, 2021 and 2022. I traded up in the draft and nabbed Jerry Jeudy from the 2020 class and needless to say, he’s become the greatest WR of all time Same for HB with Travis Etienne but I didn’t have to trade up to get him.

Administrating becomes more of a chore with more people. Best thing to do is to get consensus on the major rules of play before starting. That will make it easier for you to manage the group. I wish I still had our rule book for you to cherry pick from.

So I already have a set of rules ready to go.
