Just a quick question (and I know its subjective) What for you separates each tier? super subjective but on the broader scheme of things, an S course is a course I will continue to reference and play long after release. in that regard an A+ is still aceing the test, S- at minimum has to be visually stunning, if you look at that tier in my list, they are immediately visually memorable S is technical perfection, every bunker on cherrybrook looks natural and perfect, generally these courses play better than S- courses and feature better hole strategy or have stronger cohesion S+ is where I can remember individual holes from my round well after the fact, OG might not be as visually stunning or technically perfect, but it is be so ridiculously unique and fun to play. Lost Preserve to me is the best course in this game and has every criteria filled for me including fun factor. What an A+ looks like and this applies to your course, is a course that I instantly can tell is going to be tour worthy off the first tee when reviewing it, it is almost perfect technically and is still, frankly, beautiful and stunning, just not to the degree of an S course if that makes sense. there are courses like OG which are probably an A in technical and an A in visual but overwhelm by being S++ in strategy/fun /memorability and then there is a course like Qahirah which are an S+ in visual but falter elsewhere if that makes sense, so think of it as an average across my subjective groupings of Visuals/Strategy/Memorability/Technical/FunFactor

Excellent list Q , I agree The OG Club is one of the most unique and interesting courses to play, great design. Asylum would be at the top of the list for me. Hopefully this becomes a monthly thread. I haven't played all of the tour worthy courses released in January, but I have played most of them. Some honorable mentions from me are: El Montcau Catalunya by aeastwood54 Koa Rangi by nyt76 Cromer Rock G.C. by SirLeOssi Carolina Queen by playgroundhoo thanks for the shout-out, abowidow5712 - I appreciated your response and am glad to have your feedback as well!

The great thing about these lists is they provide exposure for courses that may have been missed (there are after all many that get released!) and create great discussion amongst the community. One missed IMO, and would be rated an S+, is Shaker Valley. Assuming this was a Jan release? If not I guess it was December and then I apologise.

The list is close to impossible to make bar the top 5 because they are all so good and near the same skill level. To be honest, this would probably be better ordered by tiers My S+ courses would be OG Club Mt S courses would be Pinewood, Royal Melb, Cherrybrook, Cades, Motown My S- courses would be Pearl 2, Qahirah, and Pinedale and then A+ would literally be Lost Trail, Hush Valley, El Montcau Catalunya, Cromer Rock, ahem*extracurricular club*, etc. I do want to stress that since I struggle a lot with the designer, I really value technical skill and pretty much all the S courses are perfect on the technical level I don't know if you've made it onto Ghost Town but would love to hear how it stacks up, especially on the technical aspects as that's what I feel I still need work on

Q and now I wanna hear more S+ courses. Interesting system, a lot like what judging panels do but with a casual angle

Very helpful in trying to improve. My current WIP probably wont be an S grade even if I nail it as going for almost a Lidar kindof look with it.
