I'm honestly a bit nervous to even consider putting a thread up for this as it's a bit more of a step outside my comfort zone, but I am excited to give this a shot...
I have a trip to Charleston, SC coming up in March, and as a resident of the upper Midwest US, this opportunity will allow me to get in some golf during a time when I likely won't be able to golf back at home.
Of course, the Charleston area is well-known for its many famous golf courses, including the host of his year's PGA Championship - the Ocean Course at Kiawah. Kiawah Island offers several other world-class courses, too, and just up the road are other notable courses like Harbour Town Links.
Those courses are mostly all out of my budget (and not compatible with my skill level), so I have been looking at other area courses and have come across something that sounds fantastic. The City of Charleston Municipal Golf Course recently went through a $3 million upgrade that added in template holes inspired by Seth Raynor and local private courses like the CC of Charleston. The course just re-opened in December 2020.

And here's a look at the hole-by-hole rundown, as well as an overview of the layout and renovations:

For non-Charleston residents, a round costs $60 - in stark contrast to the $300-500 it costs to play rounds at most resort courses in the area. However, tee times seem to be extremely difficult to come by and can only be made 7 days in advance via their online system. That said, my goals are to play a round there during my visit, and to create the renovated course in 2K21.
This will likely be a slow-moving process, as I don't think I'll even really get too involved in designing it in game until after I (hopefully) play the course in March. But I wanted to put this out there to hopefully drum up interest - and to keep me honest in actually getting this done!
I will also note - there is a Charleston Municipal GC already done in 2K21, but it seems that the already published course does not reflect the renovations made. It also is...how should I say it...a bit rough around the edges.
