I'm not sure if it's due to my internet connection (it's not great, and sometimes really not great <3Mbps) or the course itself (Champions tour -- Sweetwater, or should I say Swee****er  ), but this morning my game was extra choppy. I don't have a great computer, but usually it's mostly smooth on low settings. Anywho, I had incredible slices and hooks this morning. Does the game's choppiness lead to swing choppiness for anyone? I know that I started getting more 94's in power after the patch. I read someone's update that the game's framerate improvement probably lead to more sensitive swings, hence the 94s. I wondered if it went the other way as well. It goes unspoken how frustrating that round was. Should I have just backed out and tried again later? Does internet speed affect framerate/choppiness? Thanks for any input! --Proud owner of an 88, including 3 consecutive water shots in round 2 |

Happening to me on a rapid internet connection..... Xbox one. It feels random too, like some shots I try for 94% (due mainly to similar messed up ones being decent, like a hole in one on Blackburn hole 3... ) by not allowing a full backswing but then get 100%?? It's nuts, but then the more messed up it gets, the more like hacking about it really is..... Sometimes, 'happy gilmouring' the ball 94% into the lake 3 times only to then adjust your aim, hit 100% into a bunker 20 yards wide of the flag definitely feels more like the sort of thing I'd do.... |

I also occasionally get choppiness - just alt-tab to desktop and back again. Choppiness gone.

I think they are releasing a fix for this issue. Watch the live stream from HB on Wednesday I think Anthony s going to talk some to this. They are basically separating the swing from the frame rate. Only thing is we might all have to relearn the swing.

Did the live stream address this issue as expected?
You mean this upcoming fix is only for consoles?
Still hesitant to get the ps4 version (even though I have a low powered PC) because anything PS4 related on my internet is sluggish. Don't want to spend money on the game if it ends up unusable because of my internet.

The fix they are working on at the moment is only concerning the console as they feel that's where the biggest issue is. PC is on their list too but further down.

I received my CC-C Tour card yesterday so missed out on registering for the Carolina Classic but I played the tournament anyway on my Xbox One and I have to say, the choppiness in respect of the frame rate was truly awful at times.
I'm pretty good at judging putts no matter the distance/elevation/break but putts that were within 6 feet of the hole with no elevation and little break were going about 6 feet past and you could clearly see the frame rate was the offender.
This is my first post so I don't want to rant about the game and come across all negative as what the guys at TGC Tours have created here is fantastic. I'd barely played The Golf Club as I was finding it a little bland but having recently found out about TGC Tours, it's really got my juices flowing again! However, HB Studios really need to take these frame rate issues seriously as we're only a fortnight away from the new PGA Tour golf game, which is looking stunning visually, and as long as it stays true to the previous PGA Tour games it will not suffer the same, which may lead to some TGC Tour players switching.
I certainly hope not however as I can see there's a great community here and I look forward to being a part of it................... with or without Rory!
