Anyone else try to design a course on the switch? I've only published one so far and it was a tortuous process. I'm trying to design another now that I've seen others' designs but the course creator now has a bug that makes it essentially useless.

I found the solution to the Switch bug. The force closes seem to occur if you start with autogen objects. Set all autogen stuff to zero and it stops crashing. I've published 2 courses since I figured that out and not had a crash since. The other thing that causes Switch crashes is changing themes once you've entered the editor. Unfortunately,on Switch, you need to choose a theme to start with, then stick with it.

I might get a Switch if it is possible to transfer course files from PC to the Switch and vice versa. Is that possible as of now?

Not sure - I'm gonna wait 'til I can get a PS5 before I start designing because the Switch is useless and buggy.

Designing on Switch is a terrible experience. Graphics are ok for a small screen but the controls are very laggy. There's a significant input delay - as in the time between the moment that you move the left thumbstick and the moment at which the camera begins to pan around the plot - when with the Joy-cons connected to the device itself.

The worst thing about it, from testing, is the bug that causes some stupid water level issues when trying to flatten anything. Gonna wait until I can get a decent gaming laptop/ps5.

I find that a lot of the time, when switching between tools, the land disappears and you csn only see the water table level. This means it is very hard to lay out splines where you want them. It is resolved by using a tool which directly affects the land, such as planting or flattening ground. I still can't find a way to avoid it happening in the first place though.
Switch is terrible, but better than nothing.
